We appreciated the ease of check in and check out.
There was mildew in the showers.

This is a very well run hotel. Everything and everyone was wonderful. The staff are so friendly and so helpful.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean and has everything you need.
I decided to stay for dinner instead of going out in the heavy rain at the time and I am so glad I did. Highly recommended!
And make sure you stay for breakfast. Wonderful! So much choice and very well cooked and prepared.

Excellent in every way, and it's proximity to the centre of Starnberg and Starnberg Nord S-Bahn.

staff is too much sticking to their rules, no flexibility in their minds or too rigid to demand their management for flexibility towards customer demands. The customer must be happy to stay at the Vierjahrenzeiten Starnberg, it is like (usual: the hotel is happy to have you), the customer service concept is pretty disturbed.

Modern, clean and comfortable hotel. Slightly catering more to business guests but fairly convenient for tourists too.
There were two very nice high class restaurants, but a simpler restaurant offering more traditional fare would have been useful. The hotel's restaurants were also fairly expensive.

Bar service was very good. The head barman really knows his cocktails!
The neighbouring buildings of the hotel are a put-off. The rooms were too small!

7 min walking distance close to public swimming pool at the lake; very good and large breakfast; nice staff; mini-bar in room gets refilled daily
can be noisy due to the location next to a main road; spa area must be booked in advance and only for certain slots, which is annoying and not flexible

Disappointed with bedroom - for the price paid, thought the bedroom would have been larger and better furnished for a 4* hotel.
For the price paid, car parking was expensive as an extra.

location, cleanliness & restaurant staff was amazing
reception staff is the worst. no info given on arrival about nearby places, hotel restaurants were already booked & they didn’t even care to inform us. we had to eat outside as their Michelin star, where we wanted to eat was fully booked & i am sure with out of hotel guests. Sauna was also almost always booked & zero effort from reception to accommodate. the reception staff needs training for sure.

Good breakfast.
The hotel is on a difficult main road (currently with roadworks as well!) and the underground parking is difficult as well as expensive, Nnot really for car travellers.

Location
To full. not possible to get parking if returned late. room smelled. lot of finger prints at room door (inside). not possible to have reasonable breakfast because breakfast facility was overcrowded

Breakfast was excellent- huge choice - constantly refilled. Room only fault slightly dark. Location convenient. Staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them

Service was exceptional and so friendly! The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Just 10-15 mins walk and you're right at the Starnberger Lake. The spa area is small than expected but well equipped with towels, robes and water.
I would have loved to have thicker, stiffer pillows. But there were two given and made up nicely for the angle I needed.
