My room was clean, spacious, and quiet with a lovely view of the garden. The location was excellent. A 10 minutes walk from the train station and right in the centre of the town. Really near a lovely park with the river Wey running through, shops, cafes, restaurants and art galleries. Near to the Farnham Castle and Keep and many more attractions. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. The hotel also had a lot of character, very historic with many interesting artworks on its walls. I would definitely stay there again.

This a sweet historic hotel in the centre of the town of Farnham (a very pretty location). The building has been renovated very tastefully (except for the carpet in the bedroom corridors which is an ugly grey pattern).

They don’t accept cash for food or in the bar. I don’t have a UK bank account so paying with foreign bank cards is expensive when you consider exchange rates and bank charges. The room had AC but it was restricted to 23 deg. C. This is a bit cool for me (in February)! Soap, shower gel and shampoo in the guest room bathroom was in dispenser bottles fixed to the walls - this devalues the experience as it would be more suitable in a Premier Inn.

The room (room 5) was large and nice enough with a good comfortable sofa and huge bed. The bathroom was great with a decent size bath.

There was a slight odour when we first entered the room.

The location and the decor were good. The room was pleasant and clean

It was freezing in the dining room. We had to fetch blankets from the bar ( for outside area) to cover our legs. We shared them with other diners who were also cold. Heating was poor throughout the building. Staff had put extra heaters in the room but made no difference. Heating appeared to be off in the building. No explanation given manager made brief apology but no reason given or offer of hot drinks. Seemed more embarrassed than wanting to apologise and make us comfortable. Did think when we checked out there would be some mention of it but nothing. Also mix up with our rooms which caused confusion when booking in for our group caused by lack of attention from one of the receptionists.
