Great central downtown location. Very quiet for sleeping but lively restaurants on first floor. Very well trained and gracious staff.

Maybe just the view.

This should not be a 5 star hotel. I don't know how, do not understand how this is rated as a 5 star. Nothing about it is a 5 star experience. Except maybe the good view of Table Mountain, the rest is disappointing, from the unfriendly or rather unhappy staff, to low quality food at the restaurant, to a jacuzzi that is locked like in a closet? The furniture is old, the room smells, we could hear everything from the other room so I could not get a proper sleep. No one cares if you are taken care of or if you had issues in the room. Too pricey for what it offfers and will never come back to a Taj hotel. Sorry.

Luxurious hotel & rooms. Great service, food and bar! They have a whisky bar as well! Well located.

Large rooms, great mountain view

We arrived earlier than expected and asked if we could check in. Understandably, the room was not ready but we were told it would not be long, so we waited. We were given no feedback until further enquiry was made. At each enquiry there were at least 3 staff at reception, none of whom were able to give us useful information. After an hour and a half of wasted time, we left our bags and went out for the afternoon. The staff clearly had no idea if or when the room would be ready, it would have been much more helpful to be told that it was too early to check in on arrival. Got our stay off to a disappointing start.

The hotel has aged and needs refreshing. The breakfast has limited choices.

The floors on third level were noisy. The carpets have aged.

The Taj room, bed and ambience.

Room Service and Food. Bad service and food was not as per description. Told me it takes 30-35mins for food to come. After 40mins I call they tell me another 10mins!! Housekeeping is inconsistent. Certain days room not refreshed properly and hand soap not replaced. When requested to soap it was disturbing to find out I got cheap soaps instead of the signature Taj butter soap. Something is not right.

Well furnished and quiet.

The bathrooms look clean until you look closely. I wanted to run a bath only to discover it was only wiped and the lines and dirt from the previous people were still there not cleaned. Breakfast was tasteless and the waitresses or host at breakfast rude and unwelcoming.

The k8ng bed was separating at some point and it wasn't comfortable for a couple to sleep together it

Sehr zentral, sehr freundliches Personal. Gut um eine Reise in Capetown zu starten. Auch das Parken des Mietwagens war kein Problem.

Staff were fantastic. Particularly Innocent who was amazing and a real credit to the hotel.

Lounge access was great. But I wished it had been in a room with windows or a view of the city. Felt like the wrong place for it.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Rooms are beautiful and luxurious. Staff is amazing with children.

Delicious breakfast. Location is good. It's central. Hotel was very clean, and smelt great at all times. Service at the bar was awesome. The portors were so warm and welcoming. Loved the idea of the valet parking service.

Would be great if Taj hotel has its own parking. I don't think its fair to pay for parking daily as we are paying for our stay at the hotel, so parking should be inclusive.

I loved everything about the property, the place is clean convenient and most of all it’s beautiful

Our room and the breakfast buffet. It was our anniversary weekend and the staff put so much effort in treating us at the hotel. Just love the how they have made it special for us. And the breakfast was such a treat.
