The downstairs had a nice aesthetic
Our room was dirty and had mould
It also wasn’t cleaned when we asked it to be
There was hair on the towels and in my partners food on the first night
We stayed for a wedding and the price of the rooms doubled for that stay and honestly wasn’t anywhere near worth it

Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked. The waitress was excellent, prompt, helpful and with a pleasant manner.
The bedroom curtains were difficult to draw closed and there was no easy way to open/close the windows.

Had to ask at reception for a TV remote control! Told that they don't leave them in the room!!! We had 2 rooms and 1 had a remote and the other didn't!

Great food, had a superior room which was very comfortable and clean.
Lovely big bathroom, but lack of curtains/blinds in front of a floor to ceiling window. Especially when the toilet is next to the window and shower opposite. Did have a net curtain but not really good enough.

Quiet location and pleasant village setting. The hotel itself is attractive and the room was well presented.
The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay. This meant several areas of the bar, restaurant and lobby area were out of bounds whilst work continued until late at night, and resumed early the following morning. This prevented us from feeling relaxed and rested after a long journey. These renovations was not communicated at the time of booking else we would likely have made arrangements to stay elsewhere.
