Good view, that's it!

Arrived as notified to the property just before 9pm and woman on reception was in her coat waiting to leave, didn't check passports or paperwork or even offer us a refreshment after an 16 hour drive. Everything was under curfew so we had nothing to eat or drink that evening apart from what we had left from the journey. Mini fridge was locked so we couldn't even cool our water. Bed uncomfortable and pillows were flat, but lumpy. We saw other people had left trays outside their rooms with empty plates and glasses but weren't offered anything. Air conditioning didn't work and looked like sensors had been disconnected, so it was uncomfortable sleeping at night. Reception staff unhelpful and blunt. I asked a man on reception for some plates (in French and with a picture!) and he just kept repeating, "my wife, my wife" and waved me away with his hand. So rude. Hotel is advertised as speaking English, it's obvious they just didn't want to help. Despite Covid someone came in our room every day to empty the bin (which we normally do ourselves anyway) so complete lack of respect for the rules. Certainly would not stay for a holiday as it was noisy once other guest arrived, TV's blaring all night and doors opening and closing at all hours. TV was mounted too high for comfortable viewing even if you managed to find anything in English, Smart TV options had been disabled. No information in the room to explain if any meals were available. Had breakfast once and gave it a miss for the rest of the week as so expensive for bread and lukewarm coffee. I was asked to stay here by a client with a view to other contractors staying for future work in the harbour, but have advised them not to bother. Very dated, tired decor, and room keys very tight and troublesome. Unwelcoming, couldn't wait to leave.
