lot os stairs to get to your room nobody offered any help the layout of the bathroom was terrible you had to have a shower with the shower in your had you could not reach to put the shower up nowhere to put your toiletries

the place is beautiful, personal very kind, food in Mar de Fondo, restaurante, amazing!!!

We went from happy to disappointed and then to elated during our two night stay here! The first bedroom we were given was at the very top of the building and in a strange layout where I felt worried we would hit our heads on the gabled ceiling as we moved around the room and to the bathroom. The most surprising thing was that in order for a gentleman to urinate he had to stand with his head ducked actually inside the window recess of the bathroom and do his best not to bash his head on the way in and out of the bathroom. There was a temporary heating problem in the room (it was absolutely baking in October in there with the underfloor heating that had malfunctioned and could not be turned down) and a couple in a nearby bedroom being 'very energetic for a long time' :-( we barely slept and the following morning we asked to move rooms. We paid a bit more for the room for the second night and we were so glad we did. It was a gorgeous room on the first floor, absolutely stunning, huge with gorgeous views, a big bathtub, spotlessly clean and the most romantic thing of all - an stately looking four poster - very modern and beautiful. The staff were delightful. Breakfast was very nice. Parking out front was easy. The whole decor of the place is exceptional. We were made very welcome and were happy to stay two nights here. The hotel is part of a larger complex of a garden venue for weddings and other celebrations, which we had a little walk around and were very impressed by.

The first night a water feature at the back of the house meant that the sound of water falling 12 feet into a pond was, to us, a constant loud irritation through the night, I wished they could switch it off at night. Maybe others find it 'relaxing'. We could not close the window (even though it was October) because of the unbelievable heat in the room at that time, before the over-heating problem was fixed. Moving to the second room was a godsend and our massive thanks to the owner for all her care in looking after us.

Huge garden area with swimming pool, amenities and amazing views. They even have mountain bikes to visit the surrounding rural area. Brilliant bedroom with huge bed and beautiful decoration. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. Amazing staff. Overall a 10/10
