Breakfast was good most days but one morning when we went to the breakfast room there was not much left. We asked for more to be added but were told they was nothing more available!!

Some water in the room would have been appreciated

We had a fabulous room with a view that was really delightful. Breakfast was also served in an airy space overlooking the rooftops. Lovely! The staff were very helpful in storing our baggage when we went off cycling for a week and in recommending and booking dinner reservations for us.

The staff was nice and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious.

The room was dark and did not have a view. It would have been nice if they had the breakfast room open during sunset so that one can have a drink while watching the view.

It’s location, the view, one of the staff was very friendly and helpful and it had a very pleasant atmosphere.

The bed and pillows were very firm, but I realise everyone likes their beds different. The female staff member wasn’t very helpful.

It was literally steps away from the main piazza, yet a very quiet location. The managers were SO helpful with everything and the views from the breakfast room are gorgeous.

This is a comfortable and clean hotel in a fine historic building at the heart of the old city. The view from the breakfast room is every bit as good as portrayed in the description. The hotel staff were very helpful in clarifying peculiarities of the local bus service.

Fantastic staff! They were very helpful in making a few changes. Great location hotel was in the center of Cortona. Very easy to get around as many restaurants were near by. Breakfast was good, enough choices. We would definitely return.

Personal care of people and comfort in room

Location was excellent, staff were very helpful and efficient, room had air conditioning … and breakfast had a great selection - with breathtaking views from the breakfast room.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Italia Cortona. The hotel is located right at the centre of Cortona. The host was very friendly and helpful and gave us numerous of tips on places worth visiting in and around Cortona. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast is really nice and the view from the breakfast room is simply stunning. I'll definetly visit again one day.

Beautiful building and great views on the top floor at breakfast. The room was a great size and very clean.

We stayed out of season and so the hotel had only just reopened and were running on skeleton staff. In the morning we woke to find no hot water to have a shower. We called the out of hours emergency number but there was no answer and could not find anyone in the whole hotel to help. However at 8am a very kind lady appeared, had sorted the issue and by the time we returned from a delicious breakfast the water was back on and we could shower and head off. They dealt with the issue incredibly professionally and would not be put off staying again.

Beds were very hard and made sleeping difficult.

Location was great, and the breakfast terrace had an incredible view. Staff was very nice.

Bed was dressed in very old looking and somewhat uncomfortable covers. I paid extra for the view, but I wouldn’t paid extra if I knew how little view the room had.
