Location is great for a little escape. It’s very quiet and having lots of little cottages creates a nice atmosphere. It has a nice authentic rustic feel but still needs a lot of work after obvious years of neglect (apparently it’s under new ownership). Rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. Good shower pressure (these little things matter to me when travelling).

Breakfast wasn’t bad in itself, it was just below standards I would expect these days. Some cheese and salami, cucumbers and tomatoes, lukewarm sausages, no eggs, juice was too diluted with water. All seemed like the cheapest sort of produce from a supermarket, no additional value. Our TV had a cracked screen, reported it to the manager on the first night and noone checked for another full day and no replacement by the time we left after a 3-day stay. Cook at the outside buffet looked like he partied hard the night before (or was in fact still in party mode). That sight added some comedy value, his loud rude shouting from the kitchen less so.

Loved the area. Really cosy, clean and great also when you travel with dogs.

Driving to the yard a bit tricky with bigger car

breakfast was excellent, food in a restaurant is amazing! Areal is surrounded by beautiful nature. Comfortable bed. Peace and quiet at night! Staff happy to answer our questions.

we stayed in a cottage for 2 people. So we basically had only half of the cottage. Neighbors next to us . Room was therefore quite small.

This place is amazing! We absolutely loved our stay here, it was an wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the start of our stay to the end of our stay. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the accommodation is unique, it was truly excellent. Our hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation itself was 'one of a kind', and was clean and comfortable and certainly very different from anywhere we had stayed previously. The meals in the restaurant were divine, good home cooking, plentiful portions and very reasonably priced. We celebrated a birthday whilst we were there, our hosts helped to make the occasion one that we will never forget - Wallachian national dress and home made slivovice! It was truly brilliant - we would certainly not hesitate to return and will definitely recommend this to all our family and friends PS.
