I like this hotel. It's well situated and the restaurant is very good, even if the menu is pretty short. It has a good atmosphere and vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful. Bonus - the double bed is a real double bed, unlike so many in Switzerland where a double bed is often - even usually - two singles put together and made up to look like a double. They have a big whole in the middle.

It's not cheap - though probably in the Swiss average - and the rooms are pretty small. There isn't much of a view.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed having a drink in the bar in the evening. The room was compact but worked well. I would definitely stay there again

Price comment would apply to Swiss hotels in general because of the exchange rate - Switzerland is an expensive country to visit from UK and our visit coincided with a festival of watchmaking so accommodation was scarce I would appreciate some coat hangers in the room.

Perfectly located near old town, public parking right in front. Very friendly, nice building. Excellent bar and restaurant (pricy), very good breakfast. We had the smallest room (extremely tight, but equipped with everything).

It is a beautiful hotel, at a renovated old and truly atmospheric building. The personnel are kind and always available. I enjoyed my stay and I am determined to return for the winter experience! The location couldn’t be better!!

During hot days, when someone needs to have the window open, it becomes noisy. However, this is not due to the people at the park, or the traffic per se but rather to impolite drivers who insist to listen to their music extremely loud while waiting for the light to turn green. Thankfully they are not many….

Bed too soft

There was a spot of blood on the bed which we didn’t notice until after front desk staff were off due to the dim lighting. Staff were apologetic but this really is unacceptable.

The room was small, old-fashion small bathroom. The location on weekend was noisy, it was not possible to keep the window open and have some fresh air in the room.
