The breakfast was excellent and the woman who greeted us and served us was so friendly. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, and we really enjoyed our evening meal. A great stay.

THE STAFF WERE VERY WELCOMING AND ATTENTIVE, UPON OUR ARRIVAL AND THROUGHOUT OUR STAY. MY DAUGHTER AND I ENJOYED DINNER, BY A FIRE, IN THE EXTENSIVE RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE AREA. THE ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE AND WELL EQUIPPED. BREAKFAST WAS RELAXED AND ENJOYABLE. THERE WERE A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT PLACES TO SIT IN THE SPACIOUS LOUNGE, WITH PLEASANT VIEWS OF THE SURROUNDING AREA. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF PUBS AND SHOPS AROUND GODALMING HIGH STREET WHICH ARE WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE, TOGETHER WITH THE STATION.

THE COOKED BREAKFAST PREPARATION ON THE SUNDAY WAS NOT AS GOOD AS ON THE PREVIOUS DAY.

nothing. although we had thought we had booked B&B only to find out once we arrived that hadn’t. think that was more of an issue with Booking.com and the way the property was listed than the Inn itself tbf

Breakfast was very disorganised. A large party appeared to become the centre of attention so that other quests were peripheral. In the end I only had a coffee.

The room was clean and ready for us. No bottled water provided. Bed comfortable, bathroom excellent. Ideal for one or two night stay.

We stayed on Christmas night. Fortunately we checked by phone to see if a late arrival was possible. It was not. The room key and hotel entry fob had to be collected by 6pm, before all the staff left. We did this, but on arrival at 11.30pm, found two other potential guests unable to access their rooms, as they were unaware of this requirement and were extremely upset.. The booking system MUST make it clear if a late check in is not possible on a specific day.

Bedroom and bathroom were very good and all the staff were lovely. Plenty of parking. We ate in the restaurant and were delighted with what we had.

The hotel is about 20 minutes’ steady walk from the town centre - we knew this in advance and there are good car parks in the town. The bed: the seams of the two mattresses pushed together to make a king could be felt. Disappointing at the price. The restaurant: although we picked an early-ish dinner slot, my two first choices from the menu weren’t available, and we weren’t told about this until we started to place our order.

The place is in need of an urgent refurb

Staff were pleasant in the brief interactions I had with them, the room was comfortable and I slept well. Ample parking and was close to the shops, 5 minute walk, maybe 10 minute pending walking pace.

Some areas could do with uplifting/modernising, the windows in particular. A lot of stairs if you struggle with stairs, I was ok with it but could see this as a challenge for some. I ate here and the food was not great, the batter was rock solid and the food didn't taste great.

It's in urgent need of renovation, curtain pole was hanging off the wall in our room and the hotel as a whole could do with tidying up and the lighting was terrible in the room we stayed in both the room and bathroom. Needs better disabled facilities too, I'm quite a fit amputee but less able would struggle massively. Breakfast was poor and disappointing that for the price it wasn't included with the room booking. Sausage was raw. I'd booked two rooms as the family rooms had been taken but was at either end of the corridor instead of being next to each other.
