I decided to stay here because of the proximity to the Christchurch Train station at Addington . The hotel kindly runs a free shuttle service to the train station in order to catch the Trans Alpine or the Coastal Pacific . This saved getting a taxi at 6 am in the morning ! We were upgraded to a one bedroom unit that had a small but very well equipped kitchenette that enabled us to prepare a quick dinner and breakfast . The hotel , although close to a very busy arterial road has retro fitted doubled glazed windows meaning that traffic noise was non existent and we slept so well . We arrived very early but this was no problem as they kindly stored our luggage and helped us with various things and by giving directions .
Insect screens on the windows but this seems to be an omission at most accommodation places .

Accueil très agréable, beaucoup d’informations. Transfert gratuit pour la gare super pratique. Chambre très bien équipée, il y a tout ce qu’il faut (matériel cuisine, articles salle de bain). Lit très confortable. Notre chambre était très calme.
L’hôtel est relativement loin du centre à pied. Tout dépend de ce dont on a besoin. Pas un souci pour nous qui cherchions la proximité avec la gare.

The place is run by an amazing person, Phyllis! She not only picked us up at the train station, but had a huge comfy room (more like an apartment!) ready for our stay. Early next day she even dropped us off at the train station. Quiet neighborhood. Really convenient location for train-related travels. There were bicycles available for rental, though we did not get to try this out.

We went to the NZ Trotting Cup at Addington so it was a great location for that event, also close to town and Riccarton.

Friendly hosts -rooms had everything you needed for a few days stay & were immaculately clean! Handy to the train station & the fact the host does pickups / drop off as needed. Definitely recommend staying here whilst in Christchurch

My room was not serviced and no fresh towels on the second day. The manager didn’t bother to ask if we needed towels or coffee and tea.

Excellent, spacious and clean room with everything I needed. 2 minutes from the nearest cafe and a 10 minute walk to the Christchurch office. No complaints here!

Not that convenient to shops, the apartment was nice enough although the carpet was a bit grubby and worn. It dint help having the kitchenette carpeted

Very good drop off at station for transalpine train in the morning. This is a free service from this property. Room and facilities all excellent and comfortable. Nearby shops and eateries in walking distance but no grocery shops.
Quite a way out of town but we like walking so walked through Hagley Park. May be easy on transport but we walked in so didn’t look at this. We knew when we booked we were away from town so not an issue for us. No nearby shop/supermarket for groceries to walk to so be prepared.

The check in experience was smooth with a key left for us. Good beds and a small kitchenette provided. The menus etc provided within the room were quite helpful to find the local places to eat. Great location - very close to the Tranz Alpine station.
The room is a bit dated and needs a renovation - Leather from chairs etc ripped off. Cannot complain too much as an affordable place.

This little place was superb. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our late arrival. The location was central to many things ChCh has to offer. The beds were so comfy, the spa bath a wonderful extra. Thanks for a great stay.
The only thing was the outside hotel lights left on all night made the main bedroom lit up.

Except the wi-fi, everything else is awesome.
Wi-FI …only 2 GB daily…please, guys…we are not in 90’s… That was very, very disappointing!

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage (fußläufig zum Bahnhof). Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich.
Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Die Gegend war ruhig, in der Nähe befindet sich auch noch eine Mall.
Die Sauberkeit war mangehalft. Der Teppich war mit Flecken übersäht. Dies liegt natürlich vor allem an den Gästen, trotzdem sollte dieser zeitnah ausgetauscht werden. Auf allen Kissenbezügen befanden sich große gelbe Flecken. Vorhänge und Lüftung waren ebenfalls schmutzig und stark verstaubt.
Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, fanden wir aber nicht so schlimm.
Das Internet ist grds. auf 2GB pro Tag begrenzt. Unbegrenztes Internet kann vor Ort gegen Gebühr erworben werden.

The lady at reception was very nice and welcoming. Our room looked to a small garden area, tucked away from the main road minimising the noise. The bathroom was very roomy. Accommodation tidy and clean.
