The cabin is cozy and well supplied. The property is beautiful and the river close by. We enjoyed our stay immensely! Thank you

Our family had an amazing time at your cabin. We loved the coziness and welcoming, warm feeling of the entire cabin as well as the yard and the Salmon River behind us. The sound of the flowing river was relaxing and we even had a bonus visit of a doe and two fawns one morning. It was an overall fantastic experience!
Thank you, from our family. ♥

It was a great cabin for us. Lots of room stayed cool even when the temperatures were in the 90s. Only thing i would chand is the grill needs to have a deep cleaning and gas elements replace.

I wish I had known….. that the house would be freezing cold and despite the host’s insistence that it heats up nicely, it did not. It is at the end of a long dirt road with huge potholes. Would have been nice to know before driving it in the dark. Or that the wood stove listed as an amenity only works if you buy your own wood. Or that the stairs are incredibly steep and impossible for anyone with the slightest mobility issues. And that after being there one hour I informed the host that the property would not work for me and yet he declined to refund me a dollar of the money I paid.

Life saving crockpot :) Spent the day before our trip preparing ingredients to throw in my crock pot when we arrived ... Only to forget it. Walking in to find one was amazing! The hot tub was my favorite part, although it took me a while to figure out how heat it back up. Just wish we had more time.

Really nice house and location. Perfect getaway

The host/owner was a great communicator. The place isn’t completely secluded, but it is off the beaten path and very quiet. You can hear the river in the background. Everything works. Thanks for a nice stay!

Had a great time. Everything was clean and beautiful view. Beds are comfortable too.

The good: We mostly enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. Although neighbors are very close by, the privacy was decent with trees and bushes blocking their view. Lots of space, comfy master bed and pillows. The hot tub was great and was already heated when we got there. The wifi was great cause we had no cell reception. Listening to the trickling of the river from the back yard was pleasant. Not too far from larger towns with more shopping options.
The not so good: When we first walked in it was super cold and it took a very long time to reach a tolerable temperature. Lots of windows with no blinds or curtains downstairs. It is a private enough location but overall was a rather cold and drafty place with a musty smell. We tried to close ourselves in the master bedroom to get 1 warm room quicker but the door seemed warped and would not close all the way and would pop open immediately. Theres no reason the house couldnt be warm already when we arrived. The Master shower knob was rather difficult to pull out and push in to turn water on/off. The backdoor knob turns on the inside but not on the outside when it's locked so its easy to accidentally lock yourself out which I did. The back porch could have been blown off, lots of tree debris doesnt go well with walking barefoot from the hot tub.

We loved frolicking in the river, hot tubbing under the stars, and snuggling near the fire to watch Netflix! Huge house with everything you would need.

Nice quiet property and the host was very accommodating which isn't always the case with VRBO. The location was great and the property was well stocked. It was a bit dirty and could use a good cleaning as there were lots of spiders and their webbing inside the unit. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Clean.
Roomy. Awesome yard/outdoor spaces.
Good value. And quiet. Group of friends on a golf weekend. Highly recommend.

This house is a great getaway location back in the woods down a gravel road. There are other houses nearby but still enough privacy when sitting on the back deck or lounging in the hot tub. The path to the river was a little grown over but we still found our way. The deck near the river was shaky due to erosion underneath. The house provided everything we needed and wanted. A full kitchen with plenty of dishes, pots, etc. Bed space (full linens) for sleeping up to 10 or 11 comfortably. Two bathrooms (full towels), laundry room, a couple living room areas and dining area with table to seat 10 as well. Only notable comments would be spiderwebs in the house...might be based on when last tenants were there though, and outside propane grill was dirty as well (but we didn't end up using it anyways). Great location between Sandy and Mt Hood activities. Chris was easy to communicate with and provided helpful information for things to do and places to eat nearby. There's a decent grocery store just up the road about 5 min away. The weather was perfect...would be great to see in the winter time as well. Thanks Chris!

Spent most of the time outside on the deck where we could hear the river in the distance. Internet was fine, able to work remotely. To get to the river...you need to cross a creek over rocks (or bring rainboots) and go over some fallen trees that cross the trail. Would not be easy if you have mobility issues.

Pros:
My family and stayed at this property in June, 2023. The directions were well written and was fairly simple to find the cabin.
It is a nice home with a spacious lot. We enjoyed the basketball hoop in the front yard and some of the games provided there (Frisbee, bocce ball, pickleball and plastic bat).
The spa was well-maintained and clean for us to use.
The backyard leads to a creek and a river. You can explore nature without leaving the property.
There are string lights in the backyard and a good firepit with lounge chairs for, and we definitely spent a lot of our time there.
The cabin is nearby a few shops, good-size grocery store, dollar store.
There are several trails and things to do nearby, and the home includes a binder with several suggestions and directions to where you can go.
Cons:
House was clean and tidy. It had everything we needed. Although some of the outdoor areas and equipment were dirty or had lots of cob webs on them (outdoor chairs, outdoor toys, deck table and chairs).
Barbecue skewers for hotdogs and marshmallows, that were left by the grill outside were unusable/too dirty). The wire brush to clean bbq equipment was also left outside and was too dirty to use.
Pillows on the beds seemed a little old.
Overall:
Sweeping off the deck, outdoor chairs, and outdoor toys/equipment would have been sufficient to make this a perfect review. New pillows wouldn't hurt.
The pros outweigh the cons and we would totally go back!!!

The cabin was great. It was clean, the property was large and well kept, kitchen was well stocked and we really enjoyed having the amenities grill/fire pit/hot tub. Very spacious and worked well for our group of 8. There is a little trail that leads back to the river with a platform where you can sit and relax by the water which we also enjoyed. Neighbors were very friendly. Chris was a very responsive and accommodating host. We look forward to booking again in the future!

For the price, this cabin was just okay….old, outdated and a bit run down. The 2 bathrooms were tiny and not fully stocked (no washcloths, only two hand towels total, no soap, and a blow dryer from the 70’s that was clogged and looked like it may catch fire if used). The kitchen appliances were old, and based on the number of dishes in the cupboard with dried food still on them, not in the best working order. Overall, the cabin could be really cute with some TLC and attention to a few details.

A few indications of age—cracked lineoleum in bathroom, key lockbox was old and hard to open, rule book was duct taped together. Fireplace was great, appliances and beds were fine. We saw an eagle by the creek.

Cute place, nice location, clean and comfortable. Beds were firm but comfortable. One negative is that the kitchen did not have any kind of skillet. Otherwise very well stocked (even had sharp knives!). Kitchen needs skillet! Didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but it looked clean and cared for. Also, no wood provided for wood burning fireplace. (Gas fire pumps out good heat!). Internet was not strong which could be an issue if one planned to work from this location.

This property is just perfect for a family get away. Super comfortable and was safe for my grandson, which is only 1 1/2 years old. Will definitely rent there again. Only 1 problem. The deck out back is very slippery and unsafe.

Water was very cloudy. Did not want to use.

This is a perfect cabin for families. We had a gaggle of cousins and they had a blast. The yard is huge, with access to the creek and river. The tree fort got lots of play, and of course there was the hot tub. We will definitely be back.

Great back yard. Wonderful for family stay. Outdoor and indoor toys for family available. River access for fishing and relaxing.
Only thing to take note of is that the private road to cabin is difficult for low clearance cars. ( gravel/dirt road with many deep pot holes)

This cabin was great! Clean, private, plenty of seating, and even some games. Just be aware that the road to the cabin is very rough (our car bottomed out a couple times on potholes), but it was doable. Overall, we would stay there again!

Nice place to stay with our family. Once we got the place warmed up, we loved all the house had to offer. Gas fireplace, comfy beds, hot tub, and an amazing grass yard. 1000% worth it to cross the stream (bring waterproof shoes or good balance!) to get to the river. A fun time!

Our family had a great stay! Comfortable, relaxed and peaceful home, it was clean, well equipped, and a beautiful property. We had several walks down to the river and it was close for skiing and tubing on the mountain. Look forward to returning in the summer.

If you want seclusion, a big yard, and a deep woods kind of experience, this is a great place. Very cool little creek and only a few minute walk to the river. Great trails to explore, and a nice little place. Short drive up to the mountain to ski.

What a wonderful property. The feature we liked the best was the way the house is laid out it is great for large groups with separate gathering places in front of a wood stove or a gas fireplace., big kitchen. Summer or winter it would be great. The only that would have been nice is to have the heat turned on before we got there…….soooo cold!

Our family gathered for the first time all together since the loss of our husband, father and grandfather. The time was magical in the beautiful mountains with the cooperation of a beautiful snow. The space was PERFECT!

Property was great. We hoped to get hit with the snow since a severe snow storm was predicted by the weather forecast. Sadly it rained nonstop. The trails to the river were fun to navigate and there were awesome spots the owner sat up to sit in the woods and watch the river and surrounding areas. We used the hot tub when the rain lessened and it was very clean. This property looks like it would be amazing with better weather. The fire pit area looked awesome. Future stayers be mindful of the road that leads to the cabin, tons of potholes. My truck was fine but I could definitely see a car struggling. Owner was also great. Responds quickly.

We go do a weekend with our three year old and friends who have children about her age. This was one of our favorites to date. The yard is fantastic and secluded and very private. The path to the river is an easy walk. All the necessary home accommodations were provided and our stay was incredibly comfortable. Our host was knowledgeable and very accommodating and made us feel welcome despite our ongoing questions. We'd very much look forward to another stay!

Great spot for a weekend getaway with my girlfriends! There’s a group of eight of us and this property met our needs perfectly (hot tub, comfy place for chatting, and large table for card/game playing :) The bunk-style bedrooms brought back fond memories of rooming together back in college! Though the weather mostly kept us inside (couldn’t utilize the large deck, fire pit, or river access), it didn’t hamper our fun. Would definitely recommend this spot for a secluded, low-key gathering.

We enjoyed our stay very much!! The yard and patio/deck were wonderful! Plenty of space and room for everyone! They lay out of the cabin was great as well. Nice and open and plenty of seating for everyone! Overall, if you like the view of mountains, sound of the dishing river and nature all around…this is your destination🤩

Very much enjoyed our stay. Secluded, clean and well appointed. Nice to be in nature. Would/will definately return.

It’s a funky layout of the cabin but works. Fun really. Beautiful backyard. Nothing chic more old furniture and everything you need. Found the skylights a problem with light shining in your face in the morning. And lack of air flow upstairs. Tons of beds with nice soft sheets. Hot tub and river are the highlight! Nice extra with lawn games and basketball hoop. Would come back but with sleeping masks.
5.0
The cabin is rustic, and cozy. Cute porch swing in the front and a huge back deck with a table, hot tub and outdoor shower. Kitchen had all the dishes we needed, but be sure to bring your own spices. The neighbors sweet dog Daisy spent quite a bit of time with us, which the kids loved! We didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit due to the burn ban but it was huge! One thing to be aware of is that the river is a bit of a trail walk away from the house. To get to the river you must be willing to climb over a down tree and walk through a small creek. There is a dock with a great river view but getting down to the river by the dock wasn’t possible for us. We were able to find another path off the trail that took us to a more maneuverable entry to the river. It was great for fishing and relaxing in the water! Make sure you are careful with your trash, we had some unexpected visitors break into the trash despite the locked shed! The owner was great when we let him know. Overall house, and a great weekend!

Fun cabin in the forest with short walk to beautiful Salmon River. Everything here for the family; hot tub, deck, games, fire pit, front porch swing.

Great place for a family or a small group to get together! Had lots of beds and spaces to chat. Just know if the weather is going to be warm that you need to bring some fans.

As a first time traveler to Oregon I must say our stay in this cabin was spectacular! The cabin is located in a small neighborhood surrounded by small cabins and lush trees. The river runs through the neighborhood with a private entrance from the cabin. It’s located close to Mnt. Hood with many outdoor activities to choose from. Choose wisely! As our time here flew by! Be prepared to see deer walking through the backyard casually as you soak in the hot tub! Also, our host was great as he was quick to respond to any questions I had. My family and I will definitely be back!

What a great place to stay! We loved everything-- sitting by the river, the hot tub, the fire pit. Everything was perfect! We will be back! Thank you!
