The room was beautiful, but the bed was a little on the hard side, maybe a memory foam topper would help.

Property is beautiful, easy access in and out, comfy bed, clean bathroom. Dinner was excellent and the girls were super friendly.

My husband was switching on the tv and the remote was so dirty he couldn’t see what buttons press, he had to clean it himself. breakfast had poor choices and my English breakfast was undercooked.

At £150 a night we expected the TV to work properly and a better selection/level of food both in the evening and at breakfast.

Was a bit unclean. Bin in bathroom still had rubbish in from previous guest. 'Clean' breakfast plate had hollandaise sauce dried on on the underneath. The shower drain was blocked so overflowed when taking a shower. Apart from that it was a lovely stay

One of my strangest overnight experiences. Lovely place and lovely location but strange. I have never stayed anywhere in the uk where I had to make a reservation for food in an almost empty restaurant and had to be at the table by 7pm. The bar closed at 10 pm. On a Friday night! I stayed here because of its proximity to Manchester airport as my wife was arriving on an early flight arriving at 7:45. Was looking forward to an early English breakfast but that wasn’t available till 9! Room was ok but carpet was filthy. However, the overnight stay was made comfortable by the good food and friendly attentive staff especially Annie who was welcoming and nothing was a problem to her. I would recommend anyone to the Black Swan so long as they don’t want an early start or a late night!

The bar staff were lovely and the evening meal - Christmas special was delicious. Though the dining room was roasting hot.

The room was not up to standard, curtains falling off with the hem hanging down, and the toilet was very dirty under the rim. Bed was hard and the extra pillows did not have pillow cases. We were in the Black Swan Suite which is behind the boiler and the room was roasting hot and the boiler went all night keeping us both awake in what is a VERY hard bed. Breakfast was dreadful, choice of a bacon butty or sausage butty, some stale pan au chocolat or cerial and toast with cheap white bread, brought one cup of tea, and had to go searching for staff to get another one. Seriously overpriced for the standard which was much lower than a Premier. Disappointing.

Well situated for the M6 motorway, we used the hotel to break our journey from Scotland to the Midlands.

Room was good but the bed frame protruded resulting in bruised shins. In the bar the staff wouldn't accept a scottish note!

Nice clean room, bed creaked a bit while turning in the night.

Breakfast was a bit basic.

This is a great place for an overnight break whilst travelling between London and Glasgow.

Everything about our stay was excellent. Check in was quick and easy. Room was very comfortable, Both dinner and breakfast were superb and all staff were very pleasant.
