The Aqua Vista Suites are cute, modern and clean 1 bedroom style apartments with a beachfront view and direct access to the beach. They provided a very comfortable and cozy environment for work and pleasure. The suite has a fully stocked kitchen along with a hot plate if a desire to cook arises. It is centrally located to all of the action - steps from the town center and a hop, skip and jump to local restaurants and bars off and on the beach. Close any tours or activities one would enjoy in a beach paradise. Simon, the property manager was extremely responsive to all of my questions and concerns. (Simon -- You Rock!!) Ruben, the property maintenance was outstanding, professional and polite. I would definitely stay here again. over and over and over again!

Proximity to the ocean, the other people staying there. And the one on-site employee, who does everything—clean rooms, welcome guests (key, check in), maintenance. Without him, we wouldn’t have been able to get into our room, though we sent a message detailing exactly what time we were arriving. There’s a key box with a code that Simon, the offsite manager never gave us the code for.

The ethics of the owners, and the management company. Here’s the detailed version. In this post-Covid travel world, there is uncertainty. All other places we stayed in our two country, two week vacation were accommodating, save this place. Others honored same day cancellation due to flight mishaps. Gave this place a full 7 days notice of flight cancellation. Told them we could no longer use the room due to American Airlines flight cancellation. They told me tough and “that’s what travel insurance is for” and charged my card immediately, despite the fact that at that time, they knew I couldn’t use the room. This was after them urging me to quickly book another night with them “before someone snaps it up” for well above nightly rates listed on booking.com. Our flight was changed by AA 3 additional times (yes, they are having issues) and we ended up staying here only because they wouldn’t refund my money. Turns out, after talking with others staying at that place, they haven’t paid the guy who does everything for them for over a month because they’re building more on the island and “can’t afford to pay him”. The island is small and the place we got a pizza last night said they know the owners (who are from England) and they are royal jerks. Matched up with our experience. They also said for the price we paid $165 for one night, it should be a first class experience and accommodations. Most places here go for about $60/night for 3 adults. About the place—lipstick on the pig. Fresh paint, newer look inside, but don’t let that fool you. Shoebox size unit with leaky windows (hot air seeps right through in the bathroom and main living area) and dated shower which my hubby said kind of spit on you the water pressure was so low. Door key in rusted lock is so tricky to use, so that I’m told some tenants had to call the maintenance guy for help locking and unlocking their units. For such a small place, the cooling unit should have made the place comfortable for sleeping.

The location and the people. The hosts went way above and beyond what is required. They arranged tours for me, transported me to the airport, and when the power was out, took me to a good spot for breakfast. The location is fantastic, looking right at the water and with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within very short walking distance. I only needed a golf cart, again rented with their assistance, to drive to Secret Beach. I enjoyed laying on the hammock on my balcony and watching life go by.

Nothing negative to say of any consequence, but the shower pressure is a bit weak. Also, just realize that you are paying for location and a decent place to stay with great assistance from the owners. In terms of facilities, this place is good but not luxurious; there are more luxurious places to stay close by if that kind of thing is important, but it suited my needs just fine. I think lots of people make return visits there.

Everyone was wonderful. Warm, friendly, caring, helpful! You feel like you are visiting family. The kind that you want to go back to visit again. The room was exactly as advertised and incredibly clean.

We had a great experience. There wasn’t anything negative about out stay.

Location is excellent. Right in the beach with gorgeous views and central to all restaurants, shops and bars. Loved the lounge chairs and hammock

Spring coil mattress. Need daily towel exchange as they are thin
