Location is exceptional. The units are set on a wonderful beach, and the lagoon is beautiful. Snorkelling is right on your doorstep and a decent spot to do this is a short stroll a couple of minutes up the beach. The air conditioning in the unit worked really well and made sleeping at night comfortable. The manager was attentive and helpful.

As a self catering unit, the one we stayed in could really do with being updated and modernised. We have stayed here before (6 years previously) and I don’t think anything has been upgraded. The unit was not particularly clean, with a layer of dust present when we arrived. The oven wasn’t working (they were waiting for parts which understandably can take some time), but we weren’t overly concerned as they have a communal BBQ, however this wasn’t working properly, and was very dirty. There was nothing available to clean it. The mattress on the bed could do with being renewed, it was very soft and had that ‘roll together’ issue when sleeping next to someone. Updating the balcony furniture with more comfortable chairs would be a nice addition, along with providing mosquito coils.

a bit far from town and due to no public transport you need to rent a vehicle or scooter to get around, which isn’t a problem but would be nice if they had bikes or something to help get around

Perfect location, the beach is there just for you. You can use the kayaks too. Note, you must have your snorkeling equipment if you plan to snorkel.

There was an additional fee to pay, and it was because of the transportation from and to the airport. It was a good service, but they did not tell me about this when I reserved it.

The view was wonderful and nearby snorkeling fantastic. The manager was super helpful.

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Since we arrived, and even before, T (the host) was the most kind and helpful. She made sure our stay was perfect, and helped us beyond expectations. The place is absolutely beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. We found the location to be the best, it's quiet and peaceful, and in our opinion has the best beach on that side of the island. We would definitely recommend it to anyone!

The property was superb and EXTREMELY CLEAN to crisp sheets and amazing fluffy bath towels! And the location right on the beach with clear crystal waters and white sands. Waking up to such a view was exceptional!

Right on the beach, apart from the other 4 "villas" there is no one else around. We had the bay to ourselves. Self contained. Fantastic staff.

It would great if there a little bit of kitchen supplies for guests eg milk, oil, etc. To get the most out of your trip, a rental car or scooter is recommended.

The Seaside Lodges were located right on the beach, very close the the airport and a short scooter ride to Ootu Beach and Town. Self contained, with one King Bed (and we got a single bought in as well for our son), the lodges are comfortable, a little dated, but had most things we needed. Very relaxing, quiet. There are five lodges in a row (3 managed by Tearoa - who is very efficient and a lovely human) and another 2 (managed by someone else). The beach swimming is quite shallow, but you can easily walk 200m to find deeper water holes. Snorkelling was okay at the point (about 200m away), but if you want to snorkel and see a lot of fish, you need to book a tour and go out to One Foot Island, Honeymoon Island or the clam spots. We tended to swim mostly at Ootu. The lodge has a washing machine and dryer for guest use, free of charge. Toilet paper was provided. 4 of everything in the unit. (Plates, Cups, Glassware etc). We were provided linens, towels and beach towels. These are not serviced, but there is normally someone on site daily to assist. WIFI worked well (you just have to pay for it via Wifi code which was available for purchase from most dairies, petrol stations etc.) There was an outside table for 4, 4 x plastic chairs, 4 x wooden chairs and 2 x wooden loungers. Mosquito coils were also provided.

The BBQ was unavailable. The wooden loungers were quite uncomfortable, as the provided swab was very thin. The entire lodge is dated and will need a refresh at some stage, but for the price, it suited our purposes and we will certainly book again.

If you were an idiot like me an trying to work with the outside world the data coverage is hit and miss for the whole island. It is there but best just to disconnect and enjoy the place!

A great beachside location which was very quiet and private. The Manger went out of her way to assist us. It was exactly as it is advertised. A good quality self-contained Villa with its own cooking facilities without any housekeeping service. It does not pretend to be a 5-star luxury villa.

While the beach/ocean views are great the lagoon outside the villas are shallow and not suitable for swimming.

To wake up to the view the rooms offer is awesome. Snorkeling beach right at door step. Very clean and maintained. Nice pick up and drop off.

With the price you pay would expect atleast housekeeping service to make room, change sheets collect garbage.
