We didn’t meet any staff during our stay which was fine as the house was open and breakfast was laid out on the kitchen table in the morning but very unusual!

It was strange to walk into someone’s house and make ourselves at home as advised by the owner by phone! We like to meet people and chat.

Brigitte and family who happens to be around when we arrived we very helpful and friendly although we had language barrier problems! The bread at breakfast was deliciously warm and selection of jams/teas were very good.

Would have liked someone there to greet us for breakfast and not have a self service effort. Unfortunately, due to language barrier as owner not there, the “system” was not explained to us on arrival. Had to ask for a clean bottom sheet as one on bed looked rather “dodgy”! Everywhere around was very tired and needs a jolly good amount of tender loving care. Obviously in its day it would have been a fun place to be but I think someone has lost heart. I know only too well that it has been very hard over the last couple of years and I would like to be charitable and say that was the main problem!!!

No breakfast, self catering. Facilities good, beds comfortable, location good for area exploration. Local town all amenities with good restaurants.

No toaster in kitchen. Whole building showing definite signs of age and in need of repair. Roof leaked badly in storm but wet/dry vac. cleaner coped well. Storm was exceptional with over 4 inches of rain in an hour.

very spacious , own pool , pool table in living room, table tennis table, kids loved it.

needs updating , lots of little things like wall paper hanging off walls, light switch missing, shower switch missing, broken sun loungers, nice place but realy could do with some TLC.

Very cosy and warm atmosphere

Vergil was the perfect host! The house is beautiful und the pool and garden are so nice! We had a perfect stay:) we can recommend it 100%

Great swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzi. Location nice, green, 15min by car from Clecy. Owner friendly, shared kitchen.

The bed was very uncomfortable, old mattress very soft and leaning to one side. The curtain of one of the windows was broken, so lot of light in the morning. Breakfast was ok, bread butter and jam. But careful, no distancing is taken and there everything is shared (cereals, jam, milk and coffee containers, bread)

A beautiful retreat that was perfect for valentines weekend.
