The cottage is a little gem. In a really good position for all amenities.

It was very modern, close to the sea front.

The stairs were steep and slippy, I went from top to bottom , bruising my arm and back.

First impression was good. Spacious downstairs rooms, clean and fresh. but warm and cosy. Modern furniture, hard flooring (take your slippers) Techies will be at home here. Very well equipped kitchen, everything you could possibly need. Walk in shower a bonus for oldies like us. Beds nice and comfy with nice quality linen. Nice area, very quiet, coffee shops nearby and fabulous coastline.

Hated, absolutely hated the steep, wooden, slippery stairs. This should be mentioned in the description. If you are tall beware low ceilings in some areas of the bedrooms ( this is an old cottage). The step to the outside space is more of a drop and not suitable for sitting out it being dark and damp. A pity the charming front of the house was not made more attractive and a sitting out space. No grab handle in the shower. I wouldn't return because of the stairs.

The location of the cottage was ideal. The cottage was spotless on arrival and was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The cake and milk on artivalwas a very nice touch. Would highly recommend.

The house is really nicely decorated and feels more like a home than a holiday house- everything is done to a high specification. There's a well equipped kitchen and books, games etc to keep adults and children entertained. It's also more spacious than I'd thought from the images. Location is excellent, in easy walking distance to Tynemouth and Whitley Bay, as well as Cullercoats metro station. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, giving detailed descriptions of how everything works and a few tips on accessing the property etc.

We've stayed here a few times now and hope to continue to do so. Pebble Cottage is well equipped and comfortable, superbly located for the sea front, public transport (plenty of parking for car owners though) access to shops and cafe's and easy walking into Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. The food at the Queen's Head (about 2 minutes walk away) is superb too and also recommended.
