An upstairs toilet would have have been a big help for me.

Lovely cottage very quaint .peaceful and quite very clean and everything you need . Lovely coal fire coal supplied . Second time there will be back again .

Nothing to dislike

The cottage reminded us of goldilocks and the three bears. Jean the owner was so lovely gave us fresh vegetables when we arrived and nothing to much trouble, she was very accommodating. Thank you Jean

There was a hornets nest in the loft but the owner didn't know about this we couldn't take the dog for a walk at night due to them flying round the door entrance and couldn't open windows but when we told the owner she dealt with it straight away and got someone out! The morning we were leaving we were slightly late coming out due to heavy rain and loading the van and because of the hornets nest. Jean the owner was lovely about this but when I apologised to the cleaner she was quite abrupt and rude and replied "I have a time bracket to run to". Beds very clean but stairs very steep in cottage not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Host very friendly and welcoming, available if needed but unobtrusive. Location exactly what we wanted...utter peace and quiet.

We had a very enjoyable stay Oaklawn Cottage, perfectly situated to the Church and Wedding the four of us attended over the weekend. The location of the Cottage up a long drive past the lawned garden of the main house was very beautiful. The living area was great for our needs and two Bedrooms were very comfortable and perfect for our needs. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden on both mornings. A useful larder stocked with the basics was appreciated for seasonings etc that we had not brought with us.
