the house is adorable and sweet, spacious, lovely fireplace, perfect location (right near the lake and the stores). great outdoor space, great indoor space. the host was lovely and easy to communicate with and answer questions.

what’s not to like?

Very good facility. Nearest the lake. Very good local bakery is nearest.

Location and property both stunning and charming. A truly unique place.

External shutters or vented shutters would have helped ventilation at night.

The house lays 50m away from Lagoa das Sete Cidades, where we do awesome hikes around the Lake. Living in this house a few days with a family is really a HOME away from home...Super cozy, lighting, decoration, equipment inside and outside. Ana is a super host and guided us via WhatsApp/phone call the days before arrival and during.

Nothing significant, Ana takes care of the humidity near the lake with humidifiers, that's good; maybe the shower could use a bit more pressure but no drama.

nice old Stone house, a lot of small pleasant Features that makes the stay very comfortable (e.g. you arrive Sunday evening, and the fridge is not empty :-) ). Ana was here when we reached sete cidades, we got a lot of good tips from her and she tried to clarify for us all necessary Things like the new rules About the covid test in Ponta delgada...

The humidity

Collecting keys is easy. In out case, there was a miscommunication with the cleaning people which meant when we arrived the house had no keys and had not been cleaned up. But we were impressed and very happy with the way the owner handled it -- she came out personally to clean up the house. Mistakes happen - it's more about how mistakes are handled, and the owner handled it personally, quickly, and efficiently. Rest assured the owner is dedicated to making your stay a good one!

I'm only giving comfort a "good" rating not to say there were problems, --because there were no problems -- but you need to know this is an old house in a humid climate, and that means all the things that come with an old house. It's nothing excessive -- a slight dampness. Some people might be bothered by that, But if you want the authentic charm of the prettiest house on the street, you have to accept what comes with that.
