I absolutely loved my first night in Tarquinia, Italy at B&B Nonna Luisa. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money. Location was great near the old town. Hostess Elisa was very sociable and friendly. She spoke a very good English and even took me for a walk in the old town. Her mother didn't speak English, but we used translator and hands. She invited me for an aunthentic Italian breakfast before my leave. Loved the experience! I highly recommend if you are on a road trip and look for an inexpensive stay along your way to Tuscany from the Rome airport. And Tarquinia alone is worth to visit one day as it is a former Etruscan necropolis. Lots of history, events and museums. The old town is very beautiful and landscape around it breathtaking. The town even smelled good with bakery and flower scents, and sounded great as birds were singing everywhere! Amazing fast-flying blackbirds crowned the experience. They were everywhere. Gotta love those little birds!

A charming, clean place only a 6-8 minute walk to the historical center. The hosts went out of their way to prepare breakfasts, assist us with restaurant and touring recommendations, organize an English-speaking guide, and inform us about Tarquinia. Very welcoming and friendly!

Excellent hosts, Elisa and Maria. Breakfasts were so tasty, prepared and presented with pleasure to us. Elisa and Maria were so helpful in providing places to visit, where to eat, setting up a taxi for us. Great location.

The breakfast could have had some savory elements.

We had our room with new furniture and a nice interior design, including a large balcony with a wonderful view to the sea. The bathroom for our personal use was outside on the corridor next to the roomdoor and was very clean and as good as new. The breakfast was marvelous italian including joghurt, sweet croissants, self made cake and scrembled eggs. Our very friendly host Elisa had some good ideas which places to visit. We are looking forward to come back next year.

For some reason we had imagined that the premises would be in a traditional building within the city walls, so its location and style were a shock, initially. However, it was very convenient and everything else about our stay more than made up for this.
