There was no breakfast, this is an rental and not a BnB. But there is a little grocer across the street with most of the food supplies one would need. The location was superb for my purposes, close to 'downtown' with the Saddle Pub across the street next door to the grocer. Mike the Pies is across the street as well but I never made it there.

Nothing you can do about the stairs! They are almost like a ladder rather than stairs! There was only ONE wine glass but lots of other glasses.

I would have liked a bin service

Good location. Twin room was lovely and fresh, nicely decorated. Nice classic movies and good childrens books and toys. My daughter loved the sugan chair. Owner left a bottle of wine, chocolates and a welcome card and was helpful with arranging a babysitter.

The house was grubby and needs a thorough industrial clean. There are remnants of other guests belongings left in drawers (socks, cotton pads), bedroom counter tops and rugs were pretty dirty. Kitchen was very basic. Microwave was dirty as was some of the plates and kitchen utensils. Also needing a resurface and fresh paint in the downstairs bath and walls were mouldy. We were required to bring our rubbish to a local garage disposal unit on the morning of check out and pay €8 for the privilege. Paid €10 for towels and a $200 damage deposit.

“The Small House” is exceptional the attention to detail and comfort is the best I have encountered. Breda had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable from the welcome gift of wine to the fan for the unusually hot weather we are having. Plenty towels and toiletries supplied and a lovely seating area in the yard. Breda is very easy to contact and promptly replies to questions. I hope to return to Listowel and will certainly be booking “The Small House”.

Lovely little house at the side of the street. Owner very good to keep in contact and lovely welcome card and small hamper with tea, coffee, milk etc. Loads of extra tea towels, toilet paper, cleaning products etc. Listowel is a nice town to stay in. Good location in town. Liked the outside yard part. House clean and comfortable.

Had to take own rubbish. Some noise from next door through the wall at night.
