Selina Hostel was more like a retreat! It was so heavenly, our private cabin was perfect, comfortable bed and small fridge with water on arrival, good size with power and air con. Staff are super friendly and helpful and really welcoming, the hostel itself is quiet and relaxing but also super social if you want it and there are plenty of events they put on. The bar area has nice vibes and the food and drink are really yummy! The pool was a great way to cool off and relax in the humidity, the location is the other end of the island to the ferry terminal but there are regular buses to and from that don't cost much but I would recommend hiring a car or scooter to get around, the hostel has parking! The bathrooms were clean and had shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided, laundry if you require it and a decent sized kitchen. Lovely atmosphere, would 100% stay again

Only thing that could have been an improvement was the kitchen was not very well equipped, barely any plates or dishes and blunt or breaking equipment, we did okay but when it's busy it was difficult!

The top bunk was tight because of the construction of the roof, I hit the sealing a few times during my sleep

Es war super schwierig in das obere Stockbett zu gelangen, da auf einer Seite eine Möglichkeit zum Festhalten fehlte. Es war zudem sehr teuer im Vergleich zu anderen Hostels und relativ abgeschieden gelegen.

Convenient location

We booked a year ago however they did not have our room available and could not locate our reservation. Ended up giving us a larger room for the same price as that’s all that was available.

Amazing setting within a wildlife park, the pool was well designed with shady spots and various depths so you can swim or just lounge in the pool to cool off. Food and coffee were great! Highly recommend doing the wildlife tour.

We got the glamping tent since we were just there for a night, but note that it does get quite warm in the tent. Fine if you get up early and don’t sit in the tent during daytime. Nap by the pool instead :)

My son and his partner stayed here travelling from Sydney they loved it and the atmosphere for young people -they were very happy x

For a hostel, this is incredible! Absolutely loved our stay, the staff, facilities, cleanliness and vibes were spot on. It was in a great location, with a bus stop right out the front but also the beach in a walkable distance. The pool area was perfect to lounge at with a drink in hand.

A bit on the expensive side for a hostel but worth it

Breakfast was regular, I was expecting more for the money we paid. I would not buy any breakfast bundle next time, there are plenty beautiful cafes in the area that offer beautiful dishes at a very affordable price.

I didn't like the people working there, they didn't make us feel at holidays. We stayed somewhere else the night before for half of the price we paid at Selina, it also have private bathroom and kitchen included, but we booked at selina 1 night to give it a try since it was next to the koala forrest. But the girls working in reception and at the bar were not welcoming like in the other accomidation. We felt a bit uncomfortable with their attitude not friendly neither gentle. We won't return and we don't recommend people who are looking for a romantic holiday getaway / or healthy weekend retreat to go there. Better to go somewhere more memorable and special to treat yourself.

Excellent location, the bungalows were very cute. Lovely to have wild life around the park.

The bathrooms were not very clean, there are no hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels/bags ect. No towels were provided. Only on request. We paid a significant amount of money for what is really a camp site.

Beds felt uncomfortable and rustled - not sure if it was caused by a waterproof protector on the mattress but felt uncomfortable and noise was annoying

The communal area by reception / bar was really nice, hammocks, bean bags, plenty of tables and other seating.

Kitchen was disgusting, looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months. There are limited plates, bowls and cutlery so you are fighting for possession against other guests. There was no hot water for the entirety of our stay and when questioned with the staff, shot me down. Shared dorm layout is bizarre, low lying beams in the roof making it a hazard getting in and out of the top bunk. No curtains also in the room.

Beautiful property with cute dorms. Hammocks and chairs near the pool made it nice to hang out. Horseshoe Bay is a beautiful place and I loved my stay here on Maggie!

They could have done more to promote the activities. Not a too social vibe, but that might be dependent on your roommates.

Loved my stay here. Especially enjoyed the pool and the daily yoga. The food is great and available all day in the restaurant, and the staff were friendly. The beds in the dorm are comfortable.

Our dorm was dusty and there was a bunch of stuff, food, clothing, the former guests had left behind.
