Nothing to dislike, I'd Highly recommended staying in Kilcar bnb.

We found a great traditional Irish music session at a pub right around the corner, when we had feared that we would have to travel Donegal for a session. And the room was great!

The breakfast was freshly cooked using good quality ingredients. The location was familiar to us and Kilcar Lodge is within easy striking distance of the village’s facilities.

We liked it all.

My second time at Kilcar Lodge B&B. Brought a sibling to the Sliabh Liag cliffs. We both enjoyed our stay, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean, the shower is amazing, the house is quiet, the beds are comfortable, the Irish breakfast is delicious, host Teresa is the best and the town is perfectly located. There are three pubs within very easy walking distance (personally recommend O'Gara's over the other two...we both agreed O'Gara's has the best Guinness we've had in all of Ireland, which includes the Gravity Bar at Guinness itself). Also in town is a Centra grocery store. And don't forget to stop by Studio Donegal during the day (and ask if you can visit the weavers and old looms in the back). Not much in the way of dinner options in Kilcar though except for a takeaway...for dine-in service go to the Rusty Mackerel or nearby towns. I see no reason to stay anywhere else in southern Donegal and will try to stay here anytime we visit the area.

Theresa made a lovely breakfast. The room was very comfortable and clean and our host was so gracious. We schedule our visit to coincide with Traditional music performed at John Joe's, a pub only 100 meters from the Lodge. It was an amazing experience (John Joe and his family were very welcoming!)

Kilcar Lodge was spotlessly clean and very well presented. the breakfast was very tasty. Theresa, the host was very friendly. The village was just what we were looking for.

SMALLER BED THAN WE HAVE AT HOME. LITTLE IRISH LANGUAGE SPOKEN AT VENUE OR IN VILLAGE.

The whole stay there was amazing. Very nice host, excellent and fast communication. Everything was super clean, cozy room, comfortable bed, homemade breakfast. The village itself is small, but cozy, good option for staying overnight from/to visiting Slieve League. It would be my choice again. Payment only in cash.

Teresa was a lovely host, could not have asked for any nicer of an experience/stay at the Kilcar Lodge. Teresa was incredibly kind and welcoming and provided excellent service and recommendations for attractions in the area. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay at a B&B in Co Donegal! Great location with access to different attractions in the area via just a short drive.
