Could hear the sound of the surf from the bungalow and I love swimming in the sea. Dining on the beach was super and the restaurant food was very good. Bungalows were comfortable and clean. The resort didn’t overwhelm the nature. The cost was a real plus; JJ’s delivered great vacation value.

The only problem was a few warm beers but as i said the staff always aimed to please and this was quickly corrected and although i moved on and rented a house on the island my wife and i still visited and had sunset beers at JJs.

staff are so friendly, they helped me with my own ward journey a lot. on the beach. the location is stunning. would definitely return.

Everything about JJ’s is lovely - the staff are wonderful , the location hard to better and the food is fantastic - there is nothing not to like about staying here. We will come back again and again.

It wasn’t my first time in this place.I made booking for bungalow and villa for my friends.Unfortunatelly it were only bungalows and I had to change my choice.It was really problem for my friends, because of only cold water in shower in bungalow,so they were disappointed.It was not good option for them to stay in JJ Resort longer even we could spend more few days on Koh Phayam.I like this place and people working there are very nice too,but for staying longer I recommend to give guests option with hot water in shower.

I hope,hot water optional will be possible soon.Wifi in rooms,not only by reception,make guests probably happy too:)

the bungalows were really comfortable and right by the beach. the staff were all lovely and helpful and we really enjoyed the resort restaurant.

We have no complaints

At first, in the JJ Resort und meet very friendly persons. JJ and his staff are very helpful. We stay for 3 nights in the family bungalow, which was clean and a lot of space. The bungalows are in the jungle and close to the Aow Yai Beach, where you can surf. We like the place and extend our stay for 2 more weeks.

JJ's reasort and seafood is amazing. If you're staying in Koh phayam don't hesitate a second, the accomodations is really confortable and clean, the staff is caring and kind, if you need anything they're available. The restaurant is directly on the beach with the most beautiful sunset you can see and the food is delicious !

Excellent location right on the beach.

Only minor issues. wi-fi not strong in accommodation. Had to go down to central area to get good reception. Also the there are sand fleas and should put some protection on.

Resort is close to the beach. Very clean and well taken care of. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Excellent food prepared by "Le Chef" Rambo. Tell him how you like your food especially if you like it spicy.

The bar next door. A real bummer. Luckily they did not try to crash my eardrums every night.

Very nice place with a great team and a great cook. All are committed to the best caring of their customers, rooms are big, nice quiet and clean. The location on Ao Yay is perfect with wonderful sunsets.

A small fridge in the bungalows would be a plus

Cold water only showers but I understand why as electricity is a premium on the island

Came for 1 night and stayed for a week. Amazing stay in the jungle with a quick hop to the beach front bar/restaurant. Amazing staff, Rambo the chef does the best food!

The dogs are nice yet howl at odd times at night.

I loved that the resort was right on the beach and that the staff were all so friendly, kind and helpful. My son and I glamped in cosy, spacious tents with private outdoor bathrooms which were cleaned and swept every day. The lovely, shady beach front restaurant provided excellent service and the food was absolutely delicious. Chef Rambo made the most delicious vegetarian phad thai ... the best I've ever had! Happy Hour cocktails were popular with residents and outside visitors who enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets in the evening. Loved that our tents were just a very short walk to restaurant, beach and sea. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean at night. Everything was just perfect! Friends of ours were staying on the island at other resorts at the same time as us and in my opinion, JJ Beach Resort is the best resort on Koh Phayam! So looking forward to going back there one day! Thank you so much to Khun Ai, Rambo, Noi, Sunny and all the other wonderful staff at JJ Resort!

Simple and clean without WiFi, Aircon. Just ceiling fan while enjoying the sound of the waves. They have WiFi at the restaurant Excellent western and thai food. Staff very friendly.

The grounds were clean and well kept. The room, while it looked somewhat sterile and barracks like, was also clean, large, and seemed relatively new. It was generally quiet at night, unless you heard music playing from the establishments near the road. There were no bugs in the room.

I requested a room near the ocean. I received a room way in the back, toward the road, so I requested a room change and was refused. I was told that if we 'came back next year' we could get a room with a view. When I referred to my written request for a room near the beach, I was told that was received by their 'Bangkok office' and not the staff there. I sent a complaint/request for room change via booking after that talk and received no response at all. Be aware that the 'deluxe' rooms are the farthest ones from the beach. The 'tents' are the closest along with a couple of regular bungalows. The deluxe rooms have a rooftop sitting area, but I didn't use it because there's no view and no internet in the back area. No internet in room, although advertised as such, and I emailed asking about it and was told there was internet. Therefore, I had to cancel online work. Much of the staff are children, and they are nice but it's hard make any normal lodging/restaurant requests. Waited 45 minutes for meals 2 times, and my partner and I were served at different times both times. No accomodation for messed up meals & service. Both times there was a large table of locals that were served more attentively. One time I ordered the 'barbequed fish fillet' and they told me they would 'grill it' inside in the back. Meanwhile, others at the large table had their whole fishes on the barbeque. When I said I wanted it on the barbeque they put it on the barbeque and then ignored it so that was was overcooked when I got it. We ate at the restaurant next door for the remainder of our stay. The room was clean and large, but was rather sterile looking/barracks like, and didn't have basic things like a reading light near the bed, so there was no light to read by at night.
