Did not know what to expect as I haven't never stayed in a hostel before but it was a late deal and we could not get accommodation in the town. It surpassed every expectation! Lovely room with a comfy bed, very clean, showers and toilets. Kitchen area had fresh flowers in a vase which were beautiful. Host very accommodating and building very secure, he always appeared when we came in, so we felt he was vigilant and felt very safe. Tea and Coffee supplied in the kitchen and plenty of space to prepare food and relax if you need it. Location was so central and a bus stop right outside, we had a sea view which was a bonus. We usually would have en suite but the two toilets available were spotless as were the shower areas. Highly recommend this wee hostel in the old Library building!

Probably could do with a hanging wardrobe, we stayed 2 nights as extended our trip to this area last minute, there was only a coat stand and small drawers.

We loved absolutely everything. The bedrooms, ( +1 for THE BEDS), the communal spaces, the showers!!!, the piano, the sea view, the calm, and of course Darius. Perfect location. We recommend 100%.

A great view and comfortable bed and bedding. It was basic and comfortable. Everything we needed. A good strong shower. Friendly staff running the hostel.

Check out is 10.00am. I would prefer a later check out time.

Great location. Good views over the sea front but quiet . Nice comfortable bed. Simple and efficient.

Maybe it would be good to have a cup or glass in the bedroom.

The room had a fantastic view over the harbour and the sea. There is parking posible around the small lanes around the hotel and it has a good location in the middle of Anstruther. There is a common kitchen very suitable for those who cook themselves.

Unfortunately the room was freezing cold - it had 7 degrees outside and there was no heating on. To be fair, this happened to us quite a lot in Scotland. So if you travel apart from July/August take a bed bottle with you, there are always kettle to make hot water in the rooms.

The room overlooked the harbour and was really quiet and comfortable with an extra blanket (Scottish wool) and fresh flowers - really nice, unexpected touches. The hostel warden is super friendly and helpful too.

Leaving the next day - I wanted to stay longer!

Great Location and fantastic view from our room. Very comfy bed and helpful host (Darius). We didn't use the kitchen but a great facility

You can hear the street noise outside, bus etc. Come prepared with ear plugs if that will bother you. The flip side of that is you can hear the sound of the sea from your bed!

Great location on the front, exceptionally clean and comfortable and the staff member Darius was great. Brilliant Indian restaurant a few doors down. We'll definitely be back.

Everything was great. There was a slight hiccup with our room no. being mixed up with another guest but Darius sorted this quickly. These things happen! Great communal kitchen but a kettle and tea/coffee in the room would make this hostelry perfect.

Check in was all virtual, Darius messaged us through the app. The room was neat and clean and the view was spectacular from the room. The location is right on the bay and really central. It took a few minutes to heat up, but the shower was excellently hot. We appreciated the the room was nice and warm when we arrived. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality
