Le personnel au top du top une gentillesse incroyable ! Le spot est super et le restaurant très bien et agréable
5.0 / 5.0
The property was fantastic. The balcony views were exceptional.
The hills were a bit steep and could pose an accessibility challenge.
3.5 / 5.0
Beautiful new resort, very clean and modern, great restaurant / food. Rooms are great with full kitchen and lounge. Bed comfy.
There’s no vibe, very quiet and not a lot of people around including staff. The staff can be quite rude depending on who is serving you.
3.5 / 5.0
It was in a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment was great.
The tv remote was broken and they could not provide another one. No shuttle service into town. Taxis were hard to organise.
4.5 / 5.0
This place was terrific. Our room was right on the water and the morning and evening views were wonderful. All of the staff were lovely and eager to help. The room was comfortable, air conditioned, spacious, and had everything we needed. I took a kayak out one morning over the lagoon with clouds of mist above - spectacular. The pool area is great too. Highly recommend
Wifi is a challenge everywhere across Vanuatu. It was patchy but we dealt with it

The room was amazing - spacious, we’ll equip it and the bed was so soft!
We stayed here for our first 2 nights of our honeymoon and they’d left us a gift to celebrate with - thank you!
The pool and dining was fabulous, food was good and both pool and restaurant had a great view.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming. We unfortunately saw someone get hurt and the staff seemed to be on top of it and took great care of the guest.
They had a free fire show, it was one of the most amazing resort entertainment shows I’ve seen.
Pool side umbrellas were unsafe, they blew over in the wind numerous times. Would definitely hurt someone if they fell on a person.

Clean, newer property, close to town and restaurants. We walked to a number of restaurants during our stay and felt safe walking. There is a large supermarket only 5 mins walk from the hotel. Friendly staff at the hotel who made us feel welcome. The buffet breakfast has a lot of choices. We stayed in a lagoon room and it was large with a big balcony and kitchenette.
We arrived on Christmas Day and the restaurant and Bar service was terrible. But it all improved for the next 5 days of our stay. More towels are needed in the pool area later in the afternoon. Twice we had to bring our room towels to the pool area.

Lovely big rooms. Peaceful and quiet. Able to walk to town.

The staff were friendly and the property was nice. The restaurant on site had a simple menu, so we often went to town for meals.

good value for money for a 5 star resort and facilities it has, even meals were value for money.
A/C unit was extremely load at night. Trouble sleeping
3.0 / 5.0
The room was well appointed, spacious and comfortable.
The location is not as picturesque as the photos suggest. I went in the Lagoon at the 'beach" which is a small patch of sand and staff asked me to get out of the water as it was 'unsafe/unhygienic '. The spa in the pool didn't work and thy plumbing in the ladies bathroom was broken with overflowing toilet water all over the floor. No management staff sherbet to report this to.
The property is on steep land: not a great site. The breakfast buffet was very ordinary.
3.5 / 5.0
The beds are super comfortable, staff in the restaurant are extremely friendly, the view is beautiful. The pool is great for kids with the multiple levels.
TV was constantly not working, when we finally had enough wifi for it to work the remotes didn't work. This was a common issue. I don't think you should state you have a kids club, it is more like a small room with a few toys, not exactly what we pictured. Most staff were extremely friendly but found the reception staff very cold on arrival, not what we expected when Vanuatu have such friendly people.
3.5 / 5.0
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room cleaning and tidying was excellent. Included breakfast also very good with the generous selection of options available.
Location near to Port Vila central was good.
There were a couple of minor issues and a couple of major issues that we faced.
The booking.com summary of facilities noted that a microwave and hair dryer were included in the room. Neither were available when we arrived, but staff were quick to respond when approached at reception and both matters were quickly resolved. The TV remote didn't work too well so we had ask again for staff to show us the necessary workaround. Basically small matters.
During the stay there was an issue of water entering a building services access point adjacent to the stairway landing leading up to our room (no. 111). The water drained out onto the stairs making access hazardous with the risk of slipping on the wet stairway particularly when descending. The matter was resolved after a couple of days. No warning signs were placed on the stairs to alert us and others to the hazardous situation.
The other major problem was the awful smell emanating from the bathroom drainage system. It was quite overpowering at times and would deter us from booking that particular option if we return to Vanuatu. We were reluctant to complain but probably should have asked for a change of room.
A final comment about the overall cost. We were quoted a total price of 216,000 Vatu. This equates to around $2698 AUD. Our bill which included no add-ons was surcharged an additional 3% for pre-payment by credit card, which brought the cost up to 222,480 Vatu. That would equate to around $2803 AUD. There was no obvious statement regarding the 3% credit card surcharge when the booking was confirmed.
We were surprised to see the final reckoning in our bank account turned out to be just over $2982 AUD. In all this was around an additional $300 AUD above what we anticipated. Surcharge on international transfers and currency exchange costs had also been added in. Buyer beware!
I suggest booking.

Good facilities and friendly attentive staff
We were disappointed with the quality of the food

Family of 5 (2 Parents - 3 Young Adult/teens) We had 3 top floor lagoon rooms that were awesome, large size with kitchen/kitchenette where we could prepare a meal etc. Couch was not great comfort but we weren't really sitting around the room anyway, The Bed was huge and super comfy. Nice size bathroom with good water flow in shower, big balcony with great views. Breakfast was enough but not exceptional, the usual hot and cold foods, there was no bacon but there was an omlette stand which I enjoyed everyday, along with a great selection of pastries. Fresh fruits where a bit light on as I believe it is out of season for most. Pool is good size and location on the lagoon side, pool staff where really attentive as well, good number of poolside chairs with cushions etc, bar is well stocked and the cocktails were ok, bit hit an miss depending on the style ordered. All staff are really helpful and friendly, they also helped us book a couple of tours to Blue Lagoon and Horse riding which made things easier. There were a few evening shows including traditional dance and fire twirling which where good too. The restaurant was ok but not amazing, its comparable to a few others we tried, but we where dissapointed with our final nights dinner with the kitchen cutting corners on a mistake they made with 2 of our meals.
What could be better - a free shuttle service down to the market a few times a day would have been handy. The internet showed a calendar of daily activities (basket weaving etc) but we couldn't find where these where held and they weren't advertised at the hotel.

The receptionist service is fair but not meet the 5 star hotel standard.

The location was great, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and wished we had booked longer to stay. Awesome views from our balcony 👌. The buggy pick up from reception to your door fantastic.
The a/c didn't work, (lucky the weather was cool),lots of small ginger ants in the kitchen and the TV only had one channel and had to adjust the volume from the back of the TV

Loved the suite we stayed in. It was perfect for the 2 of us and allowed us the space to relax. The balcony overlooking the Lagoon was perfect to unwind after a day of travelling around. The staff were super friendly and helpful too. Especially the pool staff.

The pool was great it had a shallow bit for our 1 year old to enjoy. The staff were all so nice!
Food was very expensive but seems to be the case everywhere in Vanuatu.

All was really good, beautiful place and beautiful people. Food is good, the room was clean and it had everything that I needed. Ramada Resort is amazing with perfects views.

We had an exceptional stay at the Ramada. The staff were so friendly and eager to help - honestly some of the best customer service I’ve had at a hotel. The restaurant food was reasonably priced and delicious. It was great to see they had a number of vegetarian-friendly options.
We stayed in the lagoon suite which was clean, spacious, and had beautiful views of the lagoon. A bonus was being able to hire kayaks and SUPs. The pool overlooking the lagoon was just a dream.
It is a bit steep to to get up to reception, but it’s really only a 5 minute walk. You can easily always call a buggy if you’re not feeling up to it.
Nothing

I liked all the staff and the general manager because he was very reasonable about our late arrival due to Air Vanuatu failure. He offered us a refund on the days we missed.
The tea and coffee was not replenished but I am sure I could have asked for that if necessary.

we stayed in Lagoon suites. The suits are very well designed with a good size, well appointed kitchen. The restaurant sits on the lagoon and has a lovely air flow. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
There is a bar near the pool with a sports bar theme. During the day the music was loud and it was such a weird theme for such a beautiful location. I don’t go to a tropical location to sit in an Aussie themed sports bar.

the cleaning staff happy to chat even after everything that had happened they still had a smile on the face.
was there when the two cyclones hit Judy and Kevin. wasn’t informed by the hotel until 6 hours before the first cyclone. although we was made aware that the storm warning had been in place days before, the hotel took advantage of the situation once the cyclone had hit and passed knowing there wouldn’t be anywhere else to go and eat. was told they was putting on a buffet by the manager of the hotel ( thinking it would be complimentary due to the situation as we had no power or water for 36 hours ) due to the cyclone Judy. attended the buffet to only be charged nearly $90 for 2 people with only a choice was beef curry and chicken. very disappointed that people was taken advantage of and the hotel saw it as a money making opportunity. we also had to stay longer at the hotel due to the second cyclone Kevin so flight was canceled. and again amenities was limited but was still charged $287 a day as we had no choice but to stay there due to the weather situation. we ended up having to stay there an extra 6 days until flights had resumed to get us back to Brissy.
Ben the hotel manager would also become rude if challenged. we had been at the hotel and in 7 days the bed sheets hadn’t been changed. so you can imagine 36 hours no power or water 90% humidity. even if they had no staff the manager Ben lived on site so he could have Brough the fresh bedding and we would have happily made our own beds. the answer we got from him was what do you want me to do about it.
wasn’t a very nice experience the hotel could have handled it better then they did. its not like it’s there first rodeo with cyclones definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

Port Vila had just suffered through two tropical cyclones, however the fantastic and friendly staff were working hard to restore all facilities. Definitely would stay here again.

The Ramada is a resort-style oasis, blessed with an excellent staff team dedicated to helping you have a great stay. Highlights included the buffet breakfast (especially the omelettes on request) and the beautiful air conditioning which shuts down only if you open the balcony door. The size of the rooms enabled us to dry our dive and swimming gear on the balcony. The bed was massive and genuinely comfy. The pool was deep, with a mini waterfall and the nearby poolside bar. This is a really nice respite and place to relax. By far its best asset is the staff, do be sure to sign up for membership to access late checkouts and additional support.
The restaurant has good food at a price point you would expect for a hotel of this calibre. However, I didn't think the food was earth-shattering. It was okay, but nothing stellar. All the rooms across the resort are at the bottom of the hill and the staff are more than keen to zip you down to your door (or zip you back up) in a little golf cart. It's okay, but it also means you aren't in and out of your room in a flash from the outside world. I think for most travellers this is a bonus as not leaving is part of the idea. The Resort itself is a few blocks back from where you would expect to come across a standard Villa bus, if you prefer to move around town like everyone else - you will need to walk a bit from the hotel entrance. That said, if you are happy to pay higher rates, the hotel will happily call a taxi to the foyer entrance.

the room was a great size and loved the balcony. the pool was a good size and the staff were very helpful and friendly
I didn’t like that the balcony sliding door locks from the outside if closed completely as it locks you out on the balcony! very easy to accidentally do this.

Very welcoming and and comfortable, shame about bad internet service but that was probably out of their hands.

Had stayed somewhere else before staying here and wished we stayed here the whole time! Nice resort, nice staff, and more organised then other places we stayed. Nice pool and great view from
our lagoon view room (free upgrade :) ) !
Food was a hit and miss at the restaurant.
4.0 / 5.0
Being quite new and very modern the room were excellent, nice & clean, good aircon, only issue the family rooms being so far from the facilities.
The staff were extremely friendly, and Renata helped out so much with booking our tours.
The pool area was great with food and drinks easily available.
Staff while being extremely friendly, lack some training on how and what to expect from international travelers. One common occurrence was to ask the staff about an issue, they would discuss and then walk away without responding to you.
Just like in 2014 we were disappointed with the quality of the meals server in the restaurants and at the pool side bar, they all seemed to lack something particularly with regards to quality and finesse despite having an international chef.
Hotel annoyed me with excess charges for all types of credit card payments. I was told an extra 2.5% for Visa/Mastercard, but when I looked at it afterwards it was actually 3.5%. So for 6 nights an extra $200 for the credit card fee and an extra $175 for credit card currency conversion fees.
Lastly booking.com - told me an approximate cost and actual was an extra $400 (close to 7%). And there has been NO significant change in the exchange rates in that time. While with expedia it was more expensive and I would have to pay up front at least the cost there was more accurate and that was in my local currency so I would have saved on the CC currency conversion fees.

Lagoon suites are fantastic, comfy king bed, super clean and air conditioned, great kitchen and large balcony.
noisy when pool was opened to the public, couldn’t use the pool when packed with locals

We felt we were so welcomed from our arrival. The staff at the hotel to a person could not have been more accommodating personable and just plain nice throughout our stay. And thus from check in to check out. Nothing was any problem for them. The accommodation location etc was spot on. I would recommend anyone to choose this hotel for a visit yo Vanuatu.
There was nothing I didn't like except when it rained.
