Great spacious house with beautiful views💜

+New. +Very clean. +Comfortable. +Modern design. +More than enough necessities. +High quality sauna/hot tub. +Nice route for a walk. +Regular size fridge on the kitchen, small size fridge and freezer on the ground floor and small size fridge on the second floor. +Charcoal for the grill was provided. +House has extra water filter system. +Access to a very beatiful view from all 3 floors. /Kitchen is very well equiped, they have all the cookware, but if you plan to cook and have special cookware, note, that the stove is only for induction equipment. /Despite the fact that the neighboring house is quite close, the neighbors are very quiet and are not a bother. /There is no proper entrance to the lake, but you are allowed to use Jonathan Spa pond for a swim. /There is no AC and house is quite hot during the sunny days, but as we could see that AC will be installed soon. Overall, Koku maja provides a unique experience in Amatciems, we have visited many houses in this area and this one is the best for sure. Monika host is incredible. She was very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions. She is also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful.

The name of the guest house is Tubisis and is divided into 3 floors. Fabienne which I believe is in charge of the operation and definitely the owner, takes 48hours to reply when you message Koka Maja on booking.com. Arriving to Tubisi Guest House is not easy as google maps will not take you directly to the guest house when you type the correct name i.e. Koka Maja Tubisi. On arrival we had to put a big stone in front of one of the garage doors to keep it open since we had an expensive new car and wanted it to be garaged. When we entered inside the place it looked amazingly clean including towels and crockery. We have ordered a chef to invite family which went amazingly well with amazing food and this was arranged by Fabienne for which we thank her. Then the bizarre experience started. After circa 4 hours we realized that we had no hot water (basic needs), and no one from their maintenance team could come urgently to fix it. This was in my opinion the worst thing you can experience. We could not shower and wash our kids. Then we went down to use the sauna and found it switched off after we have switched it on 2 hours before. So we had to wait again for 30minutes to reach the desired temperature. Then we realized that the sauna is tripping off and it did so circa 6 times. To make it even worse, the jets of the jacuzzi not all functioning, from 3 sides only one or maybe we do not know how to use it? But Monika the housekeeper was trying her best to help for which we really thank her. Top floor balcony is in such a poor state that the door leading to the balcony had no handle so that we could not open it and make use of it for obvious reasons i.e. too dangerous. Then, we had no other option but to check out same day in the evening since no one could come and fix all of the above. We were informed that maintenance team fixed everything following day at 6pm. So that is a plus at least, but too late for us. Now 3 days have passed and we are still awaiting full refund.

Beautiful location, suitable place to stay in all weather conditions. It is very beautiful in winter. The available sauna and outdoor hot tub were the perfect combination for a snowy winter. We were with the children 8/12, they liked everything too.

Nice place in good location. There is everything that you need to relax. Very peaceful surroundings.
