Good selection of food for breakfast.
Bed was comfortable.
Evening meals we felt were poor & tasteless, with very little choice for vegetarians. Menus in the bedrooms were out of date and in fact we were given 3 different menus on one day!!
Room 5 had broken window blind and we did not like the 'rain shower', with no hand held shower.

The breakfast was delicious and the rooms very comfortable. The staff were fantastic!
The temperature of the shower was very difficult to master, and was not consistent.

Amazing breakfast and evening meal and such a group for friendly staff - couldn’t fault them. The room was spacious and clean and warm in a good way.

The food was excellent, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The lady at breakfast had great customer service and improved our stay at the last minute.
When we arrived the heating was off in our room so it was freezing; we were surprised that in the middle of January, care had not been taken to ensure the room was a comfortable temperature before a guests arrival.
The young man who checked us in asked if we'd stayed before, when we said yes he said 'great, you can find your own way to your room then.' Bit odd but never mind.
Staff were generally distracted and on their phones behind the bar a lot, we waited quite a long time to order dinner and drinks.

The food - dinner and breakfast was way beyond expectations. The warmth of service was also superb. Lovely team there.
Was a bit cold in the bathroom and the towel rail didn't have any heat / work.

Breakfast was good.
Maybe we missed it but were not aware the rooms were in a separate building. Main building locked until the exact time breakfast started so we had to wait outside in the cold.

Best pub I have stayed in for years! Rooms situated in adjacent cottage so very quiet. Rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable. Pub served good beer and food in clean and friendly surrounds. Food was of a high standard with a great breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I had a nice large room which still had the original internal shutters. Everything appeared in good order and worked as expected. Nice clean bathroom. Nice terrace area attached to the room which would be handy in summer. Ample parking and friendly staff.
The mushroom risotto was a bit small although very tasty. Could have done with being about 50% bigger. Tricky to work out which keys to use for main entrance and which for the room door. Could do with labelling maybe.

We had the top floor room, spacious with a fabulous bath & Elemis toiletries. Beds were comfortable & a decent tea tray of goodies.

The room was warm and clean, the facilities in the room were fine and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well proportioned.
The dinner and breakfast were excellent very enjoyable and the staff on both shifts were very helpful and efficient.
The heating in my bathroom was not sufficient, I had to use a separate portable heater to boost the temperature to be comfortable for showering etc. There was also some damp near my bed behind a bedside cabinet I had to move to plug in a charger which did make the room smell a little damp. Not bad enough to be asked for a move though.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Dinner in the restaurant was very good. A good choice on the breakfast menu. All dishes were piping not and tasty.

Lovely room, very comfy bed with beautiful high quality linen, thick fluffy towels and a coffee machine. The bathroom was large, good shower, Elemis toiletries and a very nice deep bath.
I ate in the hotel for two nights and the food was excellent. All the staff were friendly and very efficient.

nice and clean ,nice pub and great food,big shout out to Ryan for rustling up some food after we arrived slightly late,very helpful and made us feel very welcome,could do with more Ryan’s in the company 👍
not much really,although one slight niggle was lack of fruit at breakfast time,when I say lack of fruit I mean none,not fresh fruit anyway,but in fairness the cooked breakfast was excellent.

The manager went above and beyond we arrived late after kitchen was closed but managed to make us some really nice sandwiches and salad staff were nice and friendly rooms were xlean and well presented didn't stop for breaky

Location, vibe, good staff, easy parking. Nice size room in a lovely period building. Nice selection of local ales in the pub, with good food. Friendly and welcoming staff that are obviously trained in hospitality.
Would suit us better if the pub had more ‘pub’ type space than ‘table/eating’ space. But that’s just what we prefer if you just want a drink.

The staff were really friendly and the restraint had good food. The accommodation was very clean. In addition I really liked the shower soaps, how yhere were in a dispenser, very sustainable.
The pillows were a bit hard.

Covenient location for the area we wanted to explore. Good pub/restaurant next door. Plenty of free parking. Quite a small room, but everything necessary was in it. An outdoor area available in fine weather. The staff were really friendly and helpful - couldn’t do enough for you.
I found it a bit noisy over the main road - I would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. I guess it’s a listed building that can’t have double glazing installed. I was woken by other guests (or staff?) staying in the property early the second morning.
