Toilet door was hard to push open from the inside, but a trivial thing to complain about. Nothing needed but a little adjustment.

Location good, 10 min walk to town centre. Good layout in cottage and adequate facilities.

Great location. A 5 minute walk into village.

Great location easy to find and walking to pubs and restaurants. Many great walks/hike right out the door. Nice to have a grocery store walking distance. Loved having a French press for morning coffee. Lot of local information and guides in our guesthouse.

The open/accessible shower was a bit challenging but workable.

The cottage was perfectly proportioned, very clean and comfortable. It was the absolute perfect distance for us, far enough from the village centre to be quiet yet close enough to walk easily to the wonderful shops. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Glenernan was great. All of the facilities needed for a short or medium length stay were there including a washing machine which we didn’t expect but were happy to be able to use.

A couple of really trivial things, the wifi was weak, but it was an isolated location in the Highlands of Scotland. The bathroom door needs a little bit of planing as its tough to open and fully close.

Bothy Cottage. Quiet location within walking distance from the centre of the village. Good local amenities with a helpful visitor information office. Plenty of walking, cycling and fishing.

The situation on the edge of Ballater was perfect and the little courtyard garden in the sun offered peace, quiet and fresh air. The little chalet was warm, comfortable and well appointed. The cooking facilities were well thought out and the hob responded instantly to temperature change. Great little kitchen with all we needed after our shopping trip! Loved the comfy bed and the shower worked well. The decor is restful and tastefully done.

The lack of a basic welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk meant we had to go shopping as soon as we arrived. This was ok for us as shops were still open, but it was less welcoming than the B+B we stayed in the day before for less money as they provided a welcome tray complete with biscuits. It would not cost too much to just put that in and would be appreciated by guests The bathroom door was sticking and I had to call my husband to pull it open when I got stuck inside. Might have been tricky if on my own. It would have been nice to see the owners just to touch base. These are minor issues and did not spoil our stay but are areas to improve.

Very clean home from home. Great location close to the town centre. Towels and bedding lovely and fresh smelling. Wet room great.

Very close to the main house, driveway a bit tight, would’ve liked a blanket for the couch.
