Excellent location, Super friendly Staff, delicious food. My favourite hotel in Schwerin.

Great location.

Feels like a business hotel vibe wrapped in a manor. Watch your step in places - there are bumps hidden in carpets, specifically the 1st floor as you walk to the courtyard facing rooms. Balcony rooms look out onto residential courtyard of other balconies.

There appeared to have been an issue with the pipes, the room had a very unpleasant smell. TVs didn’t work, has apparently been an issue for a while…

rooms not available at expected time, no applogies given, lightbulb defect and receptionist asked me to find the janitor myself. Had to point that I was a guest not one of her employees. She seemed a bit annoyed of me pointing out the problem, to much Basil Falwty approach. One room was too cold during night, when radiator was turned on it did not warm but made a terrible noise all through the night. Hotel not up to standard compared to price. I cannot recommend the hotel

Very convinient location, comfortable beds, impeccably clean, warm at winter and nice modern rooms. Attentive and kind stuff. Avoid the breakfast.

The breakfast. For a party of 2 colleagues traveling not experienced in fights for food found it quite challenging to have breakfast without pre-sighned contract who eats what since the 3 slices of cheese, 3 slices of sausages, 1 cherry tomato and 3 sauce caps filled with 1 tea spoon of salad served for 2 persons on a cookie plate is a kind of ridiculous for a price of Euro 25 per person charged....You can also have crumbled eggs or omlete, out of 1 egg. Stayed 2 times for 2 and 3 nights - no change in menue...absolutely same every morning, with decrease in quantity and freshness even....Sorry, did not like it.

Location was perfect. All of the Schwerin Old Town is right outside your front door, all the major sites accessible by foot. Service staff at check out were present, attentive and helpful. Rooms were generous in size and spacious. Church bells peeling and steeple views were delightful in one room, in the other room there were charming views over the Tudor rooftops and down into the laneways. Parking provided at a reasonable price was appreciated but complicated. Larger cars beware.

At check-in we had to wait and wait and wait for an extraordinary amount of time as we patiently observed 3 staff prepare 4 coffees - we politely explained we were here for a wedding and already running late, could one of them please just give us our room keys? "No" - after which we impatiently waited as a further 2 coffees were made by 3 staff and then 3 staff carried all the coffees off to be delivered out of sight........ Can I get anyone a tray? No extra bedding or pillows available in the room. We are used to having at least one blanket extra in the room. Of course we could have called room service to request extra bedding. It was very late when we returned from the wedding - based on our check-in experience we did not not call. No electrical sockets next to the bed. iPads and Mobile phone had to be charged on the other side of the room. The photographs of the rooms online are beautiful but are not representative of the rooms we slept in.

We had had the difficulties to find the place because the most streets in the city are blocked for traffic. Stuff was unable to organize the breakfast before 8 a.m. WiFi was bad. The breakfast was divided in very small doses. There were not clean patches in the toilet and a pillows were feeled not clean and overaged.

Smack bank in the middle of Schwerin. Difficult to access by car including the underground car park. Room very hot because of outside temp. Fan just moved hot air around. Windows open but huge racket outside in the morning. Comfortable overall.

The water temp dial for the bathtub was broken so we could not have a bath which we had looked forward to. Awkwardness about giving a discount on the room which spoiled the departure. Expensive breakfast.

The local church bells are charming but ring all night, and without A/C you have no choice but to open the windows.

We got an upgrade to a large suite. Really nice surprise!!

Great location, wonderful wine and champagne selection in the downstairs bar.

Staff interactions were a bit strange. When I arrived, I was told they didn't have an available pet-friendly room. I told them I informed them via Booking that I was coming with a dog. They immediately gave me a room. Also on arrival, I reserved a table for dinner at their restaurant for the next evening. But then on day of, I asked to cancel the reservation. I was told I can't cancel it because it requires a 48 hour notice. I explained that I had reserved it the day before, and wasn't told about the cancellation policy. They immediately cancelled my reservation.

We didn't like that the bed wasn't a full bed

Fantastic location and room. I loved the interior design, the attention to details and the friendly service. The hotel has an underground garage which makes everything even better.

The king size bed consists of 2 single beds which could be a bit uncomfortable if not used to it - maybe a better method to fix the 2 single beds would make the trick.

The location is in the hearth of charming Schwerin. The wine Lounge has a vast wine selection and is very cozy. Room are modern and larger than expected.

Would On Sunday morning at 0700 the fire alarm went on, luckily the small fire didn't cause any injury or serious damage, but us and all of the guests waited outside for about 30+ minutes in the cold, while there was no update from the staff (who was probably trying to fix the situation). At breakfast at 1000 the waitress was a bit overwhelmed by the situation still (understandingly so), so was hard to get her attention and she would forget things like bread or napkins. Overall these things can happen, but I would have expected any little gesture from the management to compensate for the inconvenience (i.e. one night free parking, reduced breakfast, other).

I loved the mix of old world charm and sleek modern styles. that there’s a fantastic restaurant with excellent wine choice right there in the Hotel was also a brilliant plus. The staff were brilliant and attentive.

Breakfast was very good, and dinner in the more informal bistro restaurant was outstanding - much better food and service than in the gourmet restaurant.

The parking set up was very confusing. There weren't any signs showing how to enter or exit, and we waited a long time both times to be let in and out.
