There was some construction work happening next door and we woke up everyday with the super loud sound of drill which felt like someone was drilling in our room… not so nice when you are trying to relax and have some chilled holiday time. I can understand this is not something you can control but at least letting us know about the construction work so we can decide to put up with that or not would’ve been more transparent and would not have felt like a rip off

We were right in the middle of everything I would say perhaps best location if you enjoy the night life! For us it was 1 night of city break and it was great.

Location is perfect

Location is ideal, clean, comfy bed and staff lovely. Only needed for 1 night so fitted the bill.

I've stayed in similar accommodation previously but I think for me personally, if I had to stay in guest house / "back packer" type accommodation again I'd look for those with private bathroom facilities. Also found it a bit noisy with slamming doors and people talking outside, was as if there were no windows. Could benefit from a bit of an upgrade. Nothing really wrong, does what it says on the tin. Just not for me.

A great guesthouse I had a large double room with a beautiful view of river and boats really friendly owner and was made to feel very welcome I only had one night in alvor as traveling across the Algarve but wished I stayed longer

I missed a smaller light near the bed. The showers, both, were cold. 1 minute the eater was warm, and then icecold. It didnt get warmer anymore. Not comfortable...

Everything was kept very clean, and staff seemed to check a few times per day. The location is amazing, right by the main streets and the pier. The terrace is beautiful and very spacious. Lots of fridge space for storage.

At nighttime I could hear the music from the main bar street even with the windows shut, until very late in the night. The wifi quality was poor in the room, I had to spend the evening in the common area to get wifi, which was awkward because it was in front another room and they could see the lights under the door. The bathrooms need fans for ventilation, guests would close the doors after use and they stay humid or worse. Some hooks or shelving in the bathroom would be helpful, and a showerhead hook in the one shower would be nice.
