It was really good, a lot of space fór all of us. Confortible beds. We are so satisfied!

The host was very friendly

This traditional house is located in a beautiful rural valley only a few minutes drive from the village of Manteigas. The living room and bedrooms are spacious and there is plenty of room for parking outside. The local couple who look after the house for the owner were very friendly and brought generous amounts of breakfast bread, cake and local cheese. It provides a good base for a family or group who wish to explore this lovely countryside. The tourist information centre in the village is very helpful with maps and information about walks and other activities and the restaurant next door has good food and great views.

The furniture is serviceable but rather old and the living room windows don't give a great deal of light so the initial impression is not very up-lifting. Access is along a one way, cobbled, farm track which is rough in places so take it slowly. This address was not on our car Navi, so mobile data on your phone and the location map from Booking.com are essential. A 200 euro deposit is required in advance of arrival, by bank transfer. If you are an overseas guest this will incur bank charges and conversion rates in both payment and refund directions which in our case amounted to over 18 pounds UK.

The house is at the edge of town, in a quiet and pleasant place. We were a group of 8 friends, and the house, which had a bathroom and a shower in every room, was perfectly suited to our needs. The breakfast, brought to us, was excellent and above our expectations The host was available in WhatsApp and helped us with everything we asked for
