We enjoyed our short stay after our long haul flight. The cottage had everything we could need, cosy and warm, set in beautiful grounds including a pond with a pontoon to sit and enjoy a drink. Close to the shops in Tenterden, the coast and National Trust properties. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I ( from Sydney Australia) and our friend( from the Netherlands) enjoyed a most memorable 8 nights at Haynes Farm.

If you like a peaceful setting this is the place to be for a relaxing holiday. It is also an ideal location to visit for many of the lovely towns and historical places that are on offer in Kent.

No pigs to be seen but “Kate” was a great replacement ( the pooch) Beautiful, clean and well appointed cottage in quiet yet convenient location. I will return and thoroughly recommend this cottage. Diana

We had excellent communication with our hosts, Clare and Guy. The location of Pickle Cottage is in the grounds of Haynes farm and has the benefit of its own garden but guests are able to use the all of the grounds. We spent one evening sitting overlooking the beautiful pond, a lovely place to relax after a day out. There are some lovely walks from the property without having to use your car

We had a wonderful time in this cosy cottage. It was wonderfully furnished and well equipped with everything we needed. We even found a bottle of wine as a welcome gift in the fridge which was very much appreciated. The cottage was quiet and secluded but close enough to all the sights we wanted to see: Leeds castle, Bodiam castle, Sissinghurst gardens, Hole Park... We enjoyed every bit of the holidays. We can only recommend Pickle cottage.

My now husband and I got married close to the cottage and far from where we live so we booked it for a few nights before and after the big day and for me to get ready in on the morning. It’s not the easiest place to find but it’s a beautiful little cottage in a quiet spot and had everything we needed. The outside space is really tranquil with a little pond and there was ample parking space (helpful with bridesmaids, photographers and make-up artists coming and going!). I have some lovely photos of me and my girls getting ready and we spent a blissful first morning there as husband and wife. Communication was good with the hosts and they messaged me to see if we had already checked out on the last day when both our cars disappeared, when we had just popped out and were coming back to pack our things and clean up. We booked through Vrbo as we only had to pay a deposit until two months before our stay, and we were concerned Covid might postpone our wedding plans. The flexibility was helpful but thankfully not needed. The cottage is not far from Tenterden with its beautiful high street and surrounded by pretty countryside. Hopefully we’ll be back for an anniversary to reminisce!

We would highly recommend this property. Situated within beautiful grounds, this cottage was the perfect, relaxing stay for a weekend in Kent for a wedding. We wished we'd had more time to explore the local walks and fields. Claire was welcoming and very helpful with my various questions about the property before I arrived.

My husband and 18 month old daughter have just returned from a short stay at Pickle Cottage and I have to say we are already missing it! The most stunning location - the gardens are beautiful and the cottage itself is light and airy (but I can also imagine is so cosy in the winter months!) Clare and Guy were wonderful hosts - the communication was excellent in the run up our stay and whilst we we’re there, nothing was too much trouble. . Their lovely little dog Kate was a particular hit with our daughter! We would love to go back to Pickle Cottage someday. For anyone looking to explore Kent/Sussex, I’d highly recommend it as a base. Although there is a risk you may not want to leave at all!

What an idyllic spot! Very friendly hosts and beautiful spacious accommodation. Easily able to social distance with grandparents while enjoying Indian takeaway. Peaceful setting. The boys loved space to play football and the very cute friendly dog. Would love to enjoy again soon!

We stayed here for just the one night, a family of four. It was exactly what we needed and more. Really well set-up with brilliant facilities. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Clare was very helpful and the location was peaceful and a nice reach from some great tourist visits. We would definitely stay here again!

A beautiful barn conversion in a great location. Great amenities & very comfort beds! Welcoming hosts with a very cute dog who entertained my boys playing fetch with a tennis ball! Quiet location in a great spot for exploring the surrounding area & coastline.
