Our large extended family, all 25 of us, fit into the house well. The owner responded quickly ro any issues that arose during our stay.

Lovely restored older home with picturesque setting . Yard has pond with an adjacent stream. Great homecooked restaurants very close . Great hiking trails and swimming holes nearby. Only downside was no towels which we failed to notice until our arrival

House was big, with plenty of beds/rooms, but AC only worked on first floor. Wi-Fi doesn't reach very far from the Living Room. Yard was big and beautiful. Pond and Stream were magical. Host/Jeremy was SUPER responsive and helpful. No complaints at all. Location was perfect. The AC not working upstairs was rough, but manageable. The neighbor (directly across the street) was the only significant complaint I had. Seems like the actually trained their dogs to poop directly on the driveway of this property. They came all the way up to the steps, pooped, then ran back across the street. It happened multiple times. Other than those two issues, everything was perfect. I highly recommend Jeremy (Host) and also this property (Bridgewater VT) for large groups of family/friends looking to get away and relax.

Our stay was very enjoyable despite arriving during a massive rain storm and some of our party being held up from arriving on time due to road closures. The space nicely accommodated 15 of us (9 kids, 6 adults). Everyone loved the private lake, the game barn, and the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. Pros: - Comfortable beds - Clean and open space - Board games - Private lake - Fun game barn - Well-stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishware, etc.) - AC worked very well (not as well on the second floor) - Gorgeous views Cons: - Amenities were a bit light. Would've appreciated some more toilet paper, access to laundry detergent, paper towels, towels, and other items these kinds of homes generally keep more well stocked. We brought our own, per the owner's instructions. But would've appreciated some more of that on hand. - Some of the bedroom and bathroom doors had no locks, which can be quite unsettling when you're staying with small children. - The living room was comfortable but felt cramped for a group our size. - The upstairs got very warm and some of the box fans did not work. While a few hiccups occurred, overall we had a great stay and would definitely consider staying again!

We loved the property overall. The house was spacious and gave us room to hang out, eat and enjoy downtime. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and basic spices, dish towels, etc. The beds were comfortable and it felt clean inside. The neighbours let their dogs wonder over to poop on the lawn which wasn't a big deal but good to know. The barn with the ping pong table smelled like beer but would make a good hangout for older kids in nicer weather. The host was amazing, very responsive and I do recommend this as a great place to stay for a big group.

We had the best time staying here! The location was perfect and close to Woodstock and Killington! The skiers had great conditions thanks to a snow storm, and the non-skiers had fun snow tubing in Killington and going to lunch. There were 18 of us who stayed at the house and we had more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Perfect mountain home for a group. Plenty of large beds with dedicated rooms. The barn was a a great escape for louder games. The house is really nicely spaced out and gave us the opportunity to hang out altogether or in smaller parties. Easy access to Killington as well.

We all loved the place and plan to stay again next year.

There was an initial cleaning fee for this trip. We clearly left the place in good satisfactory manner and didn't trash the place as they indicated after the trip and gave us with an extra cleaning fee. "Cleaning fee", is an extra charge that is added to the total booking and cannot be returned after the booking concludes. The cleaning fees helps hosts accounts for the expenses required to clean and prepare their next rentals for their next guests. The condition of the house was quite poor. The doors wouldn't close properly or any sound insulation causing to hear others while sleeping which was quite annoying. The insulation in the bedroom adjacent to the kitchen was an icebox even with the little heater they provided. The toilet in another room wouldn't flush properly leaving too much residue for a 2nd flush needed. The electricity had not enough AMPs as it shut down the house dining room lights while we were dining a hot meal dinner which caused some of the kids to nearly walked into the HOT soup we prepared. And the most important thing that happened was the ceiling on the kitchen dining round table which was leaking lots of bath water which ruined all the prepared food for our Christmas holiday festivities. These incidents were recorded and reported to the owner/host of the defects of this house with no resolution. This is to name a few of the unpleasant stay. On top of that, the owners decide to charge us a stained rug to replace which surprised us without any proof. And we knew there were no such incident. Rugs can be shampooed and washed without being replaced. less$$. Unless it's an irreversible stain that was left there from a very long time ago. So, to sum this up, our group of friends and family will, "NOT" recommend this horrible stay to anyone. If you do, please bring your cameras and start taking pictures of every little specs of this house before and after your stay.

We enjoyed the property and the area very much. The pond was nice to swim and float in. The house has plenty of space, even for our big family. The only thing we wish is that the kitchen were stocked a little better. There was no salt and pepper, (just empty containers) and the only other spices were sort of random things we wouldn’t ever need. Garlic powder and olive oil would have been super helpful. We really liked Woodstock, such a cute town with lots of cool shops. We enjoyed some local hikes, and Long Trail Brewery. Overall it was a great place to stay, with plenty to keep our menagerie of kids and fun-loving adults busy. Thank you!

This house had everything we needed and Jeremy was attentive and informative in his communication. The property is beautiful and spacious and left us with plenty of activities to explore right near the house.

Well maintained & enough space for ANYTHING!

Great place for a large group. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The outdoor space makes this place worth it.

The bedroom layout is not very convenient. The game room was very dusty and outdated. Even though it was so hot the days we stayed we couldn't go in the pond because it was so dirty. The property itself is very nice and big.

The house was well stocked in the kitchen with everything. Rooms had everything that you needed. Property was beautiful.

Clean and spacious house. We fit 23 people in it just fine. The teenagers enjoyed the barn with the games. The hot tub was great. A bit short on glasses and plates for a large group.

I rented this space for a Songwriters Retreat and it worked perfect for us. The house is designed really well for big groups (we were 13). Everyone was very comfortable with their sleeping arrangements and the other rooms had just enough space for us to gather for workshops and performances. The grounds were incredible. Music was played everywhere!!! The only thing I’d say is that if you are a big group you might want to bring extra plates, bowls, and silverware. Besides that this place had everything we needed and more. Highly recommended!!!!

We had an awesome weekend! So much fun! We had 14 people and were very comfortable! Had fun going to long trail and pizzeria. Will be back again!

Lots of great shops and really good restaurants

This property was perfect for our needs; close to the mountain, clean, and comfortable!

We had a group of 18 friends and this house was the perfect fit. The property was beautiful, and it was nice to explore the grounds after a day on the Mountain. There was more than enough beds for everyone and all the accommodations housed us perfectly. The barn and hot tub were great assets to the house as well. Driving to the mountain was beautiful and gives you easy access to the skyeship gondola. We will be back again in the future.

My friends and I rented the house for a 4 day ski trip. There was a total of 10 of us, and we were all able to get our own beds! The house was very cute and well kept. It was way too cold outside for us to use the barn but we might consider coming back for the summer! Unfortunately, the pipes froze on the first night we stayed there (due the temperatures reaching -10) but the owner was very nice and responsive when we reached out about it. He called a plumber right away for us and also gave us tips help with the situation while we wait for the plumber. We were successfully able to defrost the pipes ourselves, so he sent us money for drinks! (as a thank you for handling it ourselves) -- it was totally unexpected but very appreciated! :) Overall, we had a great time!!!

The house worked out perfect for the special event! Lots of space for guests to stay and was a short ride to the slopes.

Went with 24 friends! We had a great time. The property comfortably fit all of us. 15 minutes to Killington Ski Resort. Management was responsive to my questions. Overall, a very smooth experience, would recommend to any large groups looking to have a fun weekend away!

We had a wonderful time staying at the property over New Years Eve. The house was big enough with plenty of beds and space for all to fit comfortably. The location is also ideal for those skiing at Killington or a nearby mountain. A few things to be aware of when booking: - Make sure to confirm price with owner prior to booking as quote when booking through website provided is not accurate - A 5 night minimum is required regardless of how many nights you stay and the owner will factor that in to the nightly rate - We had some issues with the electricity as other reviews mentioned and had to figure out how to reset the circuits ourselves to have working light and heat. Was able to fix this within a few hours - Sheets are provided but you have to make your own bed upon arrival which we found frustrating given the pricey cleaning fee Overall the stay is good but the nightly rate is extremely high, especially since you have to pay for nights you don’t necessarily get to use. Be crystal clear with the owner when booking as we were told that we had to pay for an unrentable night when the owner had ended up renting it out in the end anyway. Overall, would recommend to a big group looking for a house that can accommodate all comfortably.

We stayed for 4 nights over Veterans Day and had a fabulous time. This was not our first visit to this home and as usual, everything was just perfect. The house is beautiful, well kept, clean, cozy and comfortably accommodates a large group. The kids enjoyed the yard, the games in the barn and the nearby basketball court while the women enjoyed relaxing by the gas fireplace. The location is in close proximity to Woodstock and the Farmers market...which we LOVE. Also, great hiking and biking trails nearby. I was a little nervous about our upcoming stay after reading some recent reviews, but the house was in perfect condition when we arrived. We had such a great time that nobody wanted to go home! We look forward to visiting again.

We arrived to find that the listing pictures were misleading, and the house required maintenance (painting, electrical, and structural). Both upstairs bathrooms were unsafe - 1 had mold growing on the shower floor and the other broken tiles where my daughter cut her foot. The main bath downstairs had severe rot under the tile floor, which was sagging. The pantry also had mold/rot on the wall. The master bedroom door (right off living room) does not close. We took all this in stride, focusing on the beautiful location and not complaining to the owner. When using a (travel sized hairdryer) the lights in the living room and both downstairs bathrooms we out. At that point, I contacted the owner. He said it “happens all the time” and we should check breakers. We did as he asked, but could not fix problem. I then called back and asked him to send someone since the only usable shower (for 10 people) had no light. He said he was brainstorming how I could fix it. When I said he really needed to send someone he told be I “was being rude”. I calmly said I was not, and explained we had been good sports, but really needed electricity and use of downstairs bathrooms. He called me rude…again and again. I told him I would be posting an accurate review, and so he finally agreed to send someone over. Never, ever have I had a negative experience on VRBO but this owner (and property) were very disappointing.

This tired old farmhouse sits on a main road in a run down neighborhood. The noise of the traffic outweighs the woodsy setting. The photos show up to date furnishings. It is just a veneer. The bathrooms are old and two of the showers are nothing you want to enter. After paying your second down payment, the owner sends you a note telling you to bring your own bath towels among other household supplies. Upon arrival as you are making up your own bed, you are likely to notice the dirty mattress pad. Since the property instructions are to leave the mattress pads and the duvets out of the laundry pile, I question how often they are cleaned.

Unfortunately it is also positioned in a space where the door cannot fully open so the bottom rack can't really be pulled out and loaded in any reasonable way that I could see. If you're not eating in much that may not be a concern. Downstairs master bedroom and bathroom are in good shape. Upstairs bathrooms are not in great shape; drainage issues, cracked floor tiles, shower stall in really bad shape. Owner said he will be replacing the shower stall next week so that will be an improvement. The hot tub is not in the best of shape (not as pictured), was only partially filled when we arrived and had dirt in it. The owner did send someone to fill it with a hose but it was not in a condition that I would want to use. We knocked into a wall hanging which fell and broke - informed owner, we have been billed and are happy to reimburse for replacement and rehang. Asked for but did not receive any compensation for the issues with dishwasher, hot tub, showers. Owner quite angry that we are leaving an honest review so that interaction has not been pleasant.
