Beautifully decorated room, with a gorgeous bottle of red wine. Fabulous view over to the piazza, and with the windows opened the buzz of the people and lighting was fantastic. Gorgeous tiled bathroom that had a fresh scent. Fold out was a little confusing for us especially to put back together. Amazing stay!

the air conditioner worked better when the bedroom was closed off, not suitable for the complete apartment. Still wouldn't deter me from going back for another visit.

We're regular visitors to Lucca and live to stay on the Antifeatro. We've always been pleased with the accommodation and this is right up there with the very best. The apartment is simple but beautifully restored, surprisingly quiet and with great equipment. We were impressed with the bottle of wine provided on arrival by the owner - a great start to our stay. We didn't really consider the breakfasts when we booked and they came as a surprise bonus - obviously not up to restaurant standard but certainly adequate, well stocked supplies and amazing value for 1 Euro per day each. The position is, of course, excellent and, overall, we loved it

We're being really picky here as we have no significant complaints. The iron seats looked great but were a tad uncomfortable. Gaining entry was just a bit awkward but Lulu was with us within a couple of minutes when we made phone contact.

Incredible location overlooking iconic piazza. Beautiful room, spacious, comfortable in every way, every detail thought through, stylish,lots of complimentary refreshments. Good soundproofing considering the location. Nice restaurant attached and 10% off. Will stay here again!

Location is great overlooking the Anfiteatro. Loads of space and nice rustic feel to the apartment. Has aircon which was bliss as it was very hot when we visited. Selection of items (bread, pastry, cheese, cold meats, milk, yogurt) provided to make breakfast along with a bottle of wine. Plentiful coffee pods in the apartment along with a coffee frother so able to make a variety of coffees. Kitchen has small hob and combo microwave so self catering is possible.

Somewhere to sit back and read would have been nice, not a deal breaker. There was a lack of cooking implements (sharp knife, etc). This made preparing any sort of food awkward as we had to use (fairly blunt) eating cutlery for cutting fruit, etc. If you were self catering, this would be a nuisance.

Location was great, style lovely. Owner was helpful. A nice view of the anfiteatro. Also very quiet.

Kitchen needs better lighting and there are no comfortable chairs to sit and read or enjoy the view.

PERFECT location, super comfortable apartment with everything you need and then some! I cannot recommend this place more, it was absolutely fabulous!

The only small bummer was the hot water runs out quickly when showering, but you just have to wait a few minutes for the boiler to heat up again

We enjoyed the perfect breakfast, tucking into the beautiful local produce and looking out the window to the view of the Anfiteatro square.

if there was one drawback, it would be that it’s a little noisy early in the morning. but I can appreciate this is the compromise of getting such a fantastic and central location

Stunning stunning apartment

The location was great! Some food and drinks were left in the room which was a nice surprise. The room was clean, but the property owner was not willing to clean the room during our stay.

The biggest issue with this stay was the communication. The site stated that the check in time was 3 to 7:30pm. Since this was stated we figured there was someone on the premises to help us check in once we arrived. Once we got to the location there was a large locked door with no one there to open the door for us. There was a cafe next door that called the owner of the apartment numerous times. Finally, the owner picked up the phone after numerous calls. Someone came to the location to let us in. Once in the apartment we got connected to the WiFi and saw a message from the owner. The message gave us a phone number to call or a restaurant to go to in order to get the keys to get into our room. If the cafe next door was not nice enough to call the owner repeatedly I have no idea how we would have got into the room. I guess the owner thinks everyone that is going to stay at this apartment is from Italy and has phone service and data in Italy. After getting in we did not hear from anyone for the rest of the stay. We liked the location and the room, but it started out very frustrating. Almost forgot to mention, the shower had cold water only.

This apartment is for sure the best spot in Lucca. The design of the interior and the view from the balcony is just AMAZING that you can’t even imagine it!!! We didn’t order breakfast but surprisingly we had full fridge in the apartment (with a bottle of wine:-) Apartment is right in the heart of the Lucca but you can normally park your car several minutes away by foot from this location. Thank you guys for being your guests, it was just incredible!

We had a perfect stay in Lucca in this Apartment. Great view, the interior is really lovely. We enjoyed the bottle of wine in front of the city center. We didn‘t expect the breakfast - this was provided so lovely! Sweet & salty - so everyone is happy! Will come back for sure next time in Lucca!
