Place and price was ok. And there is pizza resturant in front of villa - the best pizza that we ever taste at normal price (i think owner of villa and resturant is the same). Recomended.

Not clear enough about number of people - we purchase room for 3 people but when arrived on place, we see that room is for 2 people. Hopefully we bring with us air mattress and we fit somehow. We have similar problems before in Italy - so we have experience (bad one).

Villa Marra is ideally located just outside the city, making it a good place for reсovery. The free private parking is a plus. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. That's it.

Although Villa Marra says the hotel has a restaurant and a bar, it is not entirely true. The owner of the hotel also owns the pizzeria across the street. Still, its operating hours are regular for any Italian restaurant that works for the public, not hotel guests. It opens at 11 a.m., reopens at 7 p.m., and does not work on Mondays. There are simply no breakfast options except the supermarket nearby. (Remember that the hotel rooms are not equipped with even a tiny refrigerator). The coffee machine in a hallway does not work correctly, giving you strong expresso instead of coffee lungo - there are just no proper glasses inside the machine. The device does not provide a change back, so you leave credit for the following user. The guests have to use a special key to start the machine, but nobody explains that. We stayed in room #8, and there is a definite problem with the shower head, which is fixed in a strange position, making the process more of an unwanted obligation that you want to get rid of as soon as possible.

The site is located rather on the peripheral part of the Trieste. One should have own transportat means to get to the center. The villa with appartments is easily accessible with sufficient parking lot. Just around the corner is pizzeria with good food and very reasonable prices, but with many smoking people. Overall, we have not expected much as it was one night stop for us in further way toward southern Italy. The person taking care of welcoming guests was friendly and tried to be helpful. One can appreciate that there was fridge in the room which assured that we could dring something cold after visiting the center of Trieste.

The room is very small and one can even feel claustrophobic there. It is also rather basic. The price is rather high as for the very small room and basic infrastructure.
