While searching for a hotel on Expedia, this VRBO listing popped up in my recommendations. I had never stayed anywhere other than hotels but after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. We were unsure of what to expect but Skip & Karla were very kind and accommodating and even left delicious cookies for us on the bed😊 If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay for a good price, this is the place!

My son and I made a short getaway to explore Nashville and this was a perfect place to stay. Although it's a little outside of Nashville, it was easy to get to/from. Karla & Skip were super friendly hosts, and even left little treats for us. We felt safe, but the room also has it's own lock which is appreciated. This was our first time staying in a VRBO in someone's home and my son said he liked it because it felt like we were just staying with family friends in their home.

Beautiful home and great hosts and wonderful brownies. Far enough from downtown to be quiet but near many stores and restaurants.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful, did I mention the BROWNIES? We stayed in the Corvette room. The room had two beds, a recliner and a full bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Had a great stay. Everything was very comfortable and clean. Karla and Skip were super nice and helpful. Will stay again for my regular TN trip to visit the grandkids. The Thanksgiving/fall decorations were awesome.

This is a wonderful property! The hosts are very nice and accommodating. This was our second stay in their home. The room descriptions are accurate and very clean. The hosts offer suggestions when asked. The extra touches, water, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and coffee bar, make the stay worth revisiting!

I cannot say enough about our stay. Our hosts were always in contact with us about our arrival and what to expect. We were greeted with cookies on our bed. Honestly, if I were to mention everything it would still be an understatement. Our room was clean, bathroom stocked with towels. On our last night we came in a bit late after a concert and were greeted with homemade apple pie at our door step! Gracious….that’s one of many ways to describe our stay ! It honestly just felt like home… so it was perfect ! Can’t wait to stay again !

Everything was perfect! The room was clean and cool and she left chocolate chip cookies as a welcome gift. It’s about a 30-40 minute drive from downtown depending on traffic. Would definitely book again.

Nice accommodations on the upstairs level of the owners personal home. They live in the house downstairs. Above and beyond personal touches, which we were really appreciative of. Karla & Skip gave us our space while we stayed. Parking space in the drive with code access to garage entrance. We felt safe in the quiet neighborhood. Easy access to Nashville off the highway. We stayed 7 days. Karla is an amazing baker and spoiled us with heavenly sweets! Thanks for helping our stay be comfortable and pleasant!

Property and room were very clean. Hosts were amazing and very welcoming. Homemade cinnamon rolls were delicious 😋 would recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again when in the area!!

Skip and Karla are extremely hospitable and good people. We only needed a place to clean up and sleep in and this was perfect for that. But it came with bonuses along the way. Easy access to Nashville. We were parked a block from Broadway in 22 minutes door to door.

Great place to stay, highly recommended!
We were in town for a couple of days for a wedding, and we had a wonderful stay. Karla and Skip are wonderful hosts, the room offers everything you could ask for (and more). The property is beautiful and we felt very much at home. Thank you for the hospitality, we would definitely visit again!

Lovely Southern Hospitality
Our hosts could not have been more gracious and accommodating than they were. Their property is spacious and impeccably decorated. They offered thoughtful items such as a coffee station with all sorts of fixings, plates, plasticware and much more. We were offered the use of their kitchen if we wanted to cook. We had generous space in their second refrigerator and freezer for leftovers and beverages. The room we stayed in (the master bedroom upstairs) was spacious and comfortable. We tend to judge places we stay by the comfort of the bed and the shower. Both were wonderful and we had a flat screen TV with cable access as well. Their home is about 20 minutes, roughly 20 miles from downtown Nashville but it's a quick trip on highways so it helped us conserve our travel money and have a great time. Skip and Karla far exceeded our expectations. This we’ll be our “go to” place every time we are in the Nashville, TN area. The room was clean and spacious; the beds were comfortable, everything we needed was included, and more. They were very attentive and responsive to our every need and their attention to “the little things” was amazing.

Skip and Karla are the nicest people. The house is lovely and they made me feel like I was a guest in their home. She made us cookies, homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast, had unlimited soda, tea, water, and a coffee bar! Plenty of space and just a wonderful experience.

Perfect for us
This was the perfect place for my fiancé and me to stay on our first weekend trip to Nashville. 15-20 minutes from downtown was no big deal to us as it was very affordable! The room was clean and neat, all our needs were met (even a couple treats/snacks!) The hosts were beyond great and helpful….we would definitely stay here again!

Perfect!
This room w/ private bath was the perfect "homebase" for me during my time in the Nashville area. Everything was amazing ... from the hosts to the sweet hospitality to the comfort of the bed to the location of the home. I'll definitely be staying here again!

Perfect for what we were looking for in our Nashville stay
This was our first visit to the Nashville area and we had a great time celebrating July 4th, 2021! Part of what made it great was our stay with Skip and Karla. They are so hospitable and will help with tips with their local knowledge or will stay out of your way if you prefer. We greatly enjoyed our interactions with them. And the snacks, drinks, and late-night treats were an added bonus! We didn't mind the drive into the city since we drove in and stayed the entire day. The parking in the city is $20+ per day on weekdays and $10+ per day on weekends - typical for big cities. If you don't mind being 15-20 minutes outside the city, this is the perfect place for a couple.
