Laurent is the perfect host. He was very welcoming & gave us information about parking, the property, the town & recommendations for restaurants. The attic room was spacious & very clean & comfortable. The €10 breakfast was very reasonable & very delicious.

From the moment, Laurent opened the door at Camelia we felt at home….indeed this is Laurents’ home. Laurent gave us the information for our stay, tips for exploring Bayeux & recommendations for dinner. Set in a beautiful building, the bedrooms were located up a timber spiral staircase. The room was beautifully decorated with an extremely comfortable bed and pristine linen. The bathroom was spacious and spotlessly clean.  A fresh continental breakfast at €10 was set out in the little lounge room.

I cannot fault the property. Perhaps a face cloth and some milk for the tea would be a little extra touch. An earlier check-in time would be preferable for those who have travelled a long way.

A beautiful elegant property. Modern facilities, but all complementing the fact that it was an older building. The 3rd part of our 3 week holiday we were all a bit tired but such a good welcome and lovely bedroom soon revived us. Tea/coffee in room, Netflix on TV. Also very close to town centre. Excellent breakfast. All represents exceptional value for money.

the room is in the owners house, I didn’t mind but my partner felt a bit uncomfortable, completely personal choice though, he was a very nice person and so helpful.

Laurent is a perfect host and made us feel right at home and very welcome. Breakfast is delicious and a lovely table was prepared for us. The room was perfect for us and close to downtown, the tapestry, Notre Dame, and our Normandy tour was just a short walk away. Close to everything in Bayeux. It could not have been better!

This B&B was super close to the cathedral, tapestry, central town area. Breakfast was lovely and our host packed breakfast for us one day when we had an early start to Mont St Michele which was greatly appreciated. He also recommended a couple of restaurants and made reservations for us! Room was very nice, bedding great, bathroom large with good water pressure and one of those towel warmers for drying clothes!

Very tight spiral staircase up to the third floor so may not work for older people. Also, sloping roof on the outside of room made it a bit challenging when getting out of bed in the middle of the night. The wifi didn't work in the room unless we were over by the door near the staircase.

The owner was very accommodating in providing an early breakfast at 8 am as my tour began at 8:30 am. He also provided suggestions for places to eat as well as museums to checkout. The room was elegantly decorated. However, there were too many pillows and they took half the bed as there were limited areas to place them. The location is perfect as it is only about 7 minutes walk to the train station and also 7 minutes walk to the tourist restaurants and 7 minutes walk to the sights.

The floors are creaky - going to the room up the stairs as well as in the room. My room was on the 1st floor and I don’t know if the owner heard my footsteps as I could hear the creaky floors from the 2nd floor. Glad that the 2nd floor couple sleeps early but unfortunately that they do wake up early. The walls are not soundproof as I could hear the football game from the ground floor living room TV. It is off by 10 pm. Also, earplugs works great.

I wish the bedding had white sheets verses colored and there was a top sheet. There was no parking and it was confusing where to park and how to pay or park for free upon arrival.

Great location. Parking on the street nearby and free; even on the weekend you can find a place not far. Easy walk to restaurants, to the tapestry museum, the cathedral, and shops. Breakfast plentiful with juice, coffee, yogurts, jams, breads, ham cheese, and fresh fruit. Host pleasant. Room not spacious, but large enough for 2 people. Good water pressure.

We had 2 sets of bath towels, but no hand towels. My only complaint.i would return.

Location near old downtown. Nice overall facilities. Very good breakfast. Kind owner.

Road in front was noisy. Booking showed Air Conditioning but it was not available. Although temps were mild so no need of air, the necessary open windows allowed too much noise at night. I will add that there are virtually no bugs here and nights get cooler so AC not needed except for noise outside that kept me awake.
