This property is beautiful, and just as described! We were staying with young children and appreciated that there were games, toys, and books for children to be found. I also appreciated that most outlet had the baby proof plastic covers! Also very much appreciate that sand toys, beach chairs, and beach towels are all available. For other guests who are wondering, there are public beach access points just across the street and a few houses down to both the right and the left (although the trail to the right is much flatter and the one we preferred). It is a bit of a walk down a sand path to get to the water, so we opted to walk back to the house for lunch rather than hauling a cooler with us (but that was partly because we were already carrying a 2-year old!). Gina was very communicative, and we highly recommend this property. We were a small group, but it would be great for a larger group, especially with the basement game room.

We stayed 5 nights in this house and loved it. The views of Lake Michigan were spectacular from the main living room. Often we would get up on the morning and drink coffee and stare at the water. The views are better than described in the listing and everyone loved them. The water access was just minutes from the house and we would walk down to the beach multiple times a day. The 8 of us had no problem with space.
We loved our stay and will return next time we visit Michigan City.

We thoroughly enjoyed our siblings and spouses getaway (8 of us) right across from Lake Michigan. The house is just as described and had lots of space for us to all meet together or to have smaller group conversations. The house is very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well stocked. The upstairs deck is a wonderful spot to enjoy the sun setting over the lake.
Gina was excellent at communication, both when making the booking and in the days leading up to the booking for any questions we had.
We loved being able to walk on the beach or take a short drive to Indiana Dunes National Park for great hiking.
We highly recommend this VRBO!

The property was very convenient to the beach, was beautifully decorated, and well stocked with kitchen needs and beach towels. The paved backyard was great with a Wonderful table area for seating and enough chairs to sit 16 or more around the fire pit. Great home !

The house was spacious and beautifully decorated with everything you need in the kitchen. Magnificent Lake Michigan was right across the street with Washington Park Beach just down the road.

Great place! Spacious, tastefully decorated and very homey. Everything very clean and well stocked. Perfect location and we loved walking to the beach. Also close to many other beaches incl Indiana Dunes. Outdoor shower and multiple indoor showers (one very close to the back entrance) made clean up from the beach easier with several kids. No shortage of towels was helpful. Kitchen was great, everything needed was available. Comfy beds. Deck with hammock and plenty of outdoor furniture was a highlight. Would highly recommend and would certainly come back if/when visiting the area again.

Fun and lovely
This was our first time in this area and it was fabulous! The house was just across the street from a great beach! The house was gorgeous, spacious and well stocked with things like oil, spices and cooking gear. There were plenty of towels, fans, games, and the foosball and bumper pool were also big hits! The host was attentive and responsive and we (8 of us) all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Beautiful house by the beach
We stayed there with fam and friends for Memorial Day weekend and we were very pleased with everything. The pictures don’t do justice, house is very cozy,clean,with good mattresses and very good sheets. The view from the terrace was worth it,saw a few sunsets that takes your breath away. The back area is perfect for grilling and chilling. Gina is wonderful in person and just one text away we needed anything,We would like to come back.

family vacation
It was a wonderful vacation. The house was perfect for us. Proximity to the beach was great. Nearby grocery. Lots of places to have privacy even within the house (like the deck, basement, outside seating area). Gina was a little hard to reach early on which made me nervous, but she had family issues, so understandable. She was very lovely and accommodating. None of us could figure out the lock, though, and we needed more than the code (i.e., turn the lock). It took a few of us to figure it out. But these are little glitches. The beds were comfortable. It really can't be beat for the value!

Fantastic get away
My husband and I came with our daughters and their families to remember my mom who passed away last year. She always made it possible for us to make great family memories. This will be another. We had a fantastic time. Thanks for the great place. We loved everything about it.

Pictures do not do this house justice!
We loved the house! It was so well decorated, clean and appointed with everything we needed and then some. The games and books for the kids were above and beyond, as were the beach furniture and toys. The photos don’t accurately show how spacious the living space is on the first floor. And the balcony on the second floor with fabulous lake views was a real treat! And access to the lake was easy and short.
This is a Mid-Century Modern home built in 1948 that has been completely renovated. If you love architecture, it’s a treat to stay in this home.
The challenge of the house is the 36 steps up to the house. It was not a problem for our group, but it could be an issue for others.
Also, the back patio was damp and hard to use, although we enjoyed it on several evenings. All and all, a terrific home and a great beach vacation!

Great for family reunion
We had a wonderful time, lots of places to spread out, but still gather in the living room/dining room. Great location, close to beach. Got in shape with the stairs. Be careful if you have people who can’t do stairs.

BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, CLOSE TO BEACH.INVITING HOME
First I would like to talk about all the positives. The house is an older home that has been beautifully remodeled and was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our family of 6 adults and one toddler had plenty of room. The views from the large front windows and upstairs deck was beautiful. On the upstairs deck you had the lake view plus a bonus of all the beautiful trees in the back yard area . I liked feeling like I was sitting in the treetops. The queen beds were comfortable and linens felt luxurious. Very nice basement area with games and another nice sitting area with pull out sofa and the best bathroom in the house. The large backyard space was very nice with a sectional seating area and a table for 6. Now a few negatives. First because it is an older home it is not handicap accessible, which wasn't a problem except my daughter is ready to give birth in about a week or two and there are 32 steps to climb to get to the house. ( I guess this used to not be a problem as there was a drive that could be used to load and unload) We did not know this ahead of time. However, we were able to catch the owners of the drive and they allowed us to load up when we were ready to leave which was very gracious of them. The only other negative is that the back furniture needed cleaned and the area needed swept. Now I understand with all the trees and rain it is probably a challenge to keep it clean, yet it looked as though it had not been done recently. Gina was very pleasant and offered to assist us with things like restaurant reservations and activities but unfortunately I was not made aware of this extra service beforehand in time to utilize it. I would recommend travelers take advantage of it if you can as it can be difficult to get reservations for anything this time of year. We have been traveling to MC for Fathers Day for 5 years now and this was the first time we did not stay at Beachwalk. We did like the privacy and the ease of getting to the beach. Overall we loved the house and are thinking about returning next year if available.

Beautiful House
We loved our stay at this property. The view of the water
& sunset is awesome. The house is decorated beautifully. The beds were comfortable and nice linens in the bathrooms. We were traveling with small children and the home came with a port-a-crib and a booster seat. ( both very clean)There are several steps to the front door to take into consideration but they are well worth it for the view. Great restaurants a short drive from the the house. Communication with Gina was easy with a text or email. We look forward to another stay at this property in the future.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
My friends and I rented this for my bachelorette party weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. The location is perfect, about a 3 min walk to the beach, perfect for morning yoga. The house is very spacious and we loved the decor. The outdoor entertaining spaces are also fantastic. And Gina was a pleasure, she was so helpful throughout the whole process & amazing to communicate with. 100/10 recommending to everyone!

Great Place for a Group
We had an amazing couples weekend at this house! There was plenty of room for our group of 8. Gina was great! She was available for questions and left a small gift for my husband’s 30th birthday which was so sweet. We would totally recommend the property and look forward to coming back again.

Perfect getaway
Short getaway to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. It was us and 3 other couples. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect house with a spectacular view. We spent a lot of time hanging out and taking in the Lake Michigan view from the second floor deck. Short walk to the beach. Not too far from restaurants. Everyone in the group enjoyed our stay. All amenities were thought of by our host. If we ever plan to stay in the area again, we will definitely book this house.

Perfect property
Fully stocked property for your beach vacation, pictures are good but still don’t describe how nice the place and neighborhood is. Close beach access, fire pit and grills. Gina is wonderful, will stay again next time we’re in the area.

A week of heaven!
This property was gorgeous, clean, in a fabulous location and perfect for our family of five adults and two small children. We appreciated the beach chairs and toys and especially the s’mores ingredients to roast under the stars. Will definitely return!!!!

Wonderful Multi Family Vacation
We had 3 families stay at the house with kids ranging from 2 to 11. We had a great time and the dedicated basement space was perfect for the kids. Easy walk to the beach which was great to come home for lunch and then go back in the afternoon. Gina was wonderful and really easy to communicate with!

Pretty Much Perfect
Great location, Great house! Our group
Was made up of two families, 4 adults and 6 kids, and we had plenty of space. The finished basement is a perfect spot to sneak down to when the younger kids wake up and you don’t want them to wake up the whole house.
The upstairs can get a little warm but they have extra air conditioners in the two masters and fans in the other two bedrooms on the second level. Amazing rooftop deck that is accessed through one of the masters or one of the smaller bedrooms. We sat up here every night and watched the sun set and listened to the water. It was perfect.
The path to the beach is a few houses down and the beach is sandy and amazing. A beach wagon, beach chairs (only 4 or 5), Beach towels, umbrellas, beach toys, etc are all provided, even a huge float which the kids LOVED.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood and neighbors seems pretty respectful. It’s close to both Michigan city’s downtown area as well as new buffalo.
The only improvements I would have would be a few bigger pans and bowls for the kitchen. Our group was larger and cooks a lot but we were able to make it work with what was there.
The concierge was a fantastic addition. We placed a grocery order through Walmart and it was unpacked And waiting for us when we arrived as well as a surprise of a kit for s’mores and firewood for the fire pit.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

Amazing week
Everything about this property was wonderful for our two families (9 people). Gina was very responsive, answering questions ahead of time, ensuring we had a pack n play when we arrived, arranging our grocery delivery, and facilitating a meal delivery from the next town over. The location of the house was great- close to the beach, amazing view of the lake. Lots of different areas to hang out so the kids and adults could have their own space. Well stocked with everything we needed for the week. Great place to escape - we already want to come back!

Wonderful vacation!
This was a beautiful property and worked well for our family of 7. They had everything we needed for the beach and the location to the beach was perfect to walk to. Also we loved the Michigan City area in general...great location to get to hikes throughout the dunes. Would definitely stay here again

A wonderful quick getaway.
This house was immaculate and decorated in a fresh, welcoming manner. Gina, the property manager is superb. Anything that you might need, she is ready to provide.

Memorial Day getaway
This property was just wonderful. The kids enjoyed the bunkbeds and the rec room. We loved making smores with a campfire (be sure to pick up your own wood). Also the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and appliances. We cooked all our meals and really appreciated the lake concierge service as all our groceries were neatly organized before our arrival (thanks Gina!)

Simply amazing!
Everything was exactly as described! Very close to access to private beach, super spacious, fully stocked with everything you need to feel at home. Gina was amazing and beyond accommodating, as well! I loved the concierge service and being able to order everything we needed and having it there for us when we arrived, too. We will definitely be coming back here.

Family Weekend
My family rented this property to celebrate our dad's early retirement. Even with 8 adults, there was plenty of space, with room to spare! The amenities were awesome and Gina was fantastic. The beach supplies provided (towels, chairs, floats, games) were an unexpected bonus. Beach access was ~3 doors down and across the street, and access to town was easy & quick. This was our first time in Michigan City and we will certainly be back!

Excellent Experience
To sum it all up Gina and the property were awesome! I am in the Food-service industry and nothing gets me more excited and sets a great overall tone then receiving great customer service. Unfortunately most often this seems to be a thing of the past. Not with Gina though. Gina was great with communication leading up to our trip offering things to do in the area, offering to reserve rental items for us, and I just really felt she was vested in our overall experience not only with the property but also with our vacation. The property was awesome with great beach access and great location. Plenty of room for all of us and the view of the sunsets.....cant be beat. Overall great experience will be returning again next year.
