Lovely long weekend stay at this comfortable family home. Pool table and great outdoor areas a hit with the children and well equipt kitchen and new BBQ was a plus. Beautiful local walks and local golf course extremely close by.

We had intended to do the whanganui river but the river was to high and this was our back up plan. We rafted the tongariro river Saturday afternoon which was excellent!
This place was perfect for our group of 10. We all sat at the table for meals, played pool and listened to music.
I especially enjoyed the master bedroom and ensuite!
The amount of work that has gone into the grounds is staggering.
Truly an excellent spot for a getaway. Hosted exceptionally well, great communication and instructions.
10/10 marvellous!!

We had an amazing weekend away with all our children and their partners. We had planned to spend time on the mountain but sadly the snow didn't come to the party. Nevertheless because of the beautiful big home we were able to spend quality time indoors. It was just perfect in every way for our family of 12. We made loads of special memories. Would love to return in Summer and make use of the beautiful gardens and stream. Thanks Linda

Comfortable bedroom & bathroom! A lots of utensils in the kitchen! Walk distance to local Golf Club. people who play Golf will love it. There are many games for children and kids love billiards.

Beautiful Property had everything we needed

Peaceful stay
We found the area lovely, very quiet and the weather was fabulous. The accommodation was well distributed with a big kitchen, living room and great bathroom facilities.
Only a few negatives: we found the trampoline, BBQ and generally outside areas needed a good clean. Likewise, the bedrooms and living areas, while tidy, could probably do with a bit more of a deep clean as we found there were a lot of cobwebs and things (including socks, hair ties and fake eyelashes) in and under furniture and around beds.
The other thing is that the upstairs, although a beautiful space, was too hot and made it difficult to sleep. A clothesline for hanging washing might be a great addition.
Overall though, a great place to stay with great spaces for big groups and everything you need for cooking. Thanks for letting us stay :)

Managers Retreat
Although I did not get a chance to stay on this trip as it was booked for a managers retreat this space worked great, plenty of room for everyone. The only feedback I got was the lack of heating for a place with such beautiful big windows. Otherwise thank you for being so accommodating with check in etc. You made it all a very easy process.

The location is only a few minutes from town in a beautiful surroundings. Lots of room for kids to play and explore the grassy lawns and stream that flows on the property.

General cleanliness and maintenance
We had a lovely time together and enjoyed our weekend but were disappointed by the cleanliness of the kitchen, particularly the cupboards and how greasy the utensils were, the dirty oven and microwave. The bathrooms weren't great and the house was very dusty, the table sticky as were the table mats. The water pressure was also low, not adequate for 3 bathrooms, washing machine and dishwasher. Overall the house lacked some love.

Somewhat Disappointing
It's difficult to find accomodation for a large group but we were excited to find this listing. Unfortunately we didn't' find the accomodation as wonderful as shown in the listing. We have family members allergic to cats and it was only a day before we arrived that we were told the home had a resident cat which had slept on all the furniture. The heating was poor, making the inside feel colder than outside. It was also disappointing to have to make up our own beds because there there no sheets on them. We had booked and paid to 16 yet only places for 13 were available and we had to go searching in storage for additional camp beds and linen.
The property manager was wonderful.

Amazing Bach, perfect location
Linda was extremely helpful on organising, giving us lots of hints and tips of where to find stuff locally. We managed to arrange a pick up from the lodge to do the crossing, and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind afterwards too!
Paris the cat was a very welcome addition, and the kitchen catered for all our needs. The beds were like sleeping on clouds.
NB the hot tub in the pictures doesn't work. The bathtub does work.

We couldn't have asked for more out of this lovely home located perfectly hidden in its own little paradise. The home itself was very well equipped and fell nothing short. Plenty of heat to keep us all snugged during those chilly nights. The pool table was the highlight and heaps of space in the living room for a large group to enjoy. Would absolutely come back again. Overall the house is pretty spacious and neat, would love to stay again if the owner can spend a bit money renovating. Lots of toys for the kids to play with. Easy access to town and Turoa Ski Field.
Water pressure for the upper bathroom is really low and also one of the bathroom in ground floor.
We had few power cuts and the WiFi signal is pretty weak sometimes (I had to bring my work to the trip thus the frustration.)

Great location a short drive from Ohakune. A private location with nice grounds. House comfortably set up with everything we needed. We had 3 families here and there was plenty of room. The pool table a real bonus on those non skiing days. House was nice and warm. We opted for the extra gas fire which was lovely too, but would have been warm enough without it.

Perfect!
Absolutely perfect venue for our work conference. Stayed several nights and loved it! Beautiful environment, wicked good kitchen and beautiful home.
Highly recommend.
