We loved our time at the Winter Park Chalet! Perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. Stunning views off the decks, great kitchen and family room area for everyone to gather (cooking, games, movies). The beds were really comfortable. Mary was easy to communicate with and made us feel welcome. Thank you for a great stay!

We loved staying in this mountain home! BEAUTIFUL views from the huge deck! The house was very clean and we could tell renovations were recently done (tastefully decorated as well). Only a 5 minute drive from the house to the highway. Lots of restaurant options in Winter Park, Fraser and Grandby. The owner was very nice. Highly recommend this home for your next vacation!

Overall impression of the property was fantastic. Great location, great views, private, close to Winter Park and Grandby, shops, food and amenities are very close to the property. The second night we were there, the area had lots of snow that fell. We are guest in this home, are very unfamiliar with the roads, ice and extremely icy conditions. To be fair, there is a rule at the house that you must take the trash in your car about 2 miles to the dump from the house. We left the trash out (absolutely against policy we later found) due to bears. So, we received a phone call and a text message that we needed to take the trash to the dump. Again, this is all in a really, really bad storm. We then get another text advising us from the owner that we 'needed' to take the trash out. There was zero regard for our safety and even a thought that we could take the trash later after the storms let up. Because we believe in treating everyones property as though it is our own, and to follow the rules, we reluctantly took the trash to the dump as we knew that we were being monitored by 1 of the 4 cameras on the outside of the house monitoring. Not one, but two cars are now stuck in ditches wherein we had to get the community snow plower to assist us in getting our cars out. The same night, my family had set up a surprise for me to have my god daughter and her friend and boyfriend come out to visit since they lived in Denver. Again, this was a total surprise and my wife and I were not aware that they were coming. All of the sudden we get another text message from the owners telling us that we needed to pay additional fees if the guest will be staying. Again, that is the rule and we have no problems adhering to it. Once we received the 3rd text message (friendly reminder) that we needed to pay it was beginning to get a little annoying that we felt as though our every single move was being watched. My wife and I stayed one day, cleaned off the entire deck-with about 18"-24" of snow on the deck. Not one mention or even a thank you that we cleaned their entire deck (after the storm) from the owners but they were immediate to tell us that we needed to close the hot tub lid after we intentionally left it opened because of a bad sewer like water smell. How did they see that so quickly? Big Brother House! The inside of the property was dirty under beds, couches, closets, washer rooms and there is ZERO water pressure at all in this house. Weak wi-fi.

Extremely satisfied with our stay. Great location and great host. The house is clean, spacious, and has great outdoor space with terrific view. I would definitely recommend.

This is a phenomenal property, location, and all around experience. The home and neighborhood is so beautiful and the town of Winter Park nearby was very charming. The mountains are magic and the view is stunning. Memories were made! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Cabin looked exactly like the online pics. The views was great, it was easy to find & also easy to travel on roads even with snow. Living room was cozy, beds were comfortable, kitchen had anything needed to prepare & serve meals. Owner was quick to call or text you back & very helpful.

What started as an excellent first impression remained a constant the entire week that we were in the staying in the mountains . The cabin exceeded our expectations. As soon as we walked in the front door and saw that amazing Mountain View through the A-Frame windows and sliding glass door, we knew that we were going to be having the best vacation week we’ve ever had. All the amenities were supplied, including a fully stocked working kitchen, plenty of towels and bedding, 2 cozy and easy-to-use fireplaces that heated the house continuously. A wonderfully relaxing and easy-to-use hot tub we enjoyed IN THE SNOW! We received excellent instructions from the owners as well as great responsiveness from them when we had a small question. An easy fun drive to pick up things in town as needed. Beautiful scenery all around as you go to/from the house, not to mention the gorgeous natural environment we were in when actually at the cabin. We wanted an escape from the city, and totally got it! Even though there are “neighbors”, the home is situated so one feels like the entire mountain is yours. We enjoyed bird watching, deer watching and we even caught a glimpse of a coyote sniffing around in the snow. We saw shooting stars and the ISS passing over head at night! We were like 2 kids checking off all the cool experiences we had each day. The photos on the VRBO listing are not exaggerating - it really *is* that beautiful. And the cabin is so well taken care of - IMMACULATELY well-maintained, everything in its place where you would expect. We didn’t want to leave, so we are already making plans to come back. My family and I stayed at this property in Tabernash and it was a wonderful place to stay. Jonnie made sure we had everything we needed and he was available for questions throughout our stay (not that we had many). The house was beautifully decorated and everything was well labeled. The kitchen has everything we needed and was very functional. The beds were soft and the views were amazing! We spent time walking the neighborhood and enjoyed amazing views at every turn. I recommend a visit to this beautiful home in the mountains.

We used the house as overflow for a 70th birthday party in WP and loved it!

Very nice place to stay. Came as described. Enjoyed all our time there. In summer house needs ceiling fans in each bedroom. Windows need some type of coverings so early morning light will not wakeup individuals that sleep on the couches for the 7th and 8th persons in your group. Kitchen could use modern coffee maker. Location is very nice between Granby and Winter Park.

We booked a family getaway to do some hiking, biking, rafting and even attended a rodeo. This home has all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway. We spent 8 nights in the home and it was perfect. I would recommend this home to others looking for a great excape in the mountains.

Stayed at this property near Grandby, CO for 4 days and was a great place to stay. Very spacious for our group of 3 but could fit 6-8 comfortable. Has a huge deck and equally as big hot tub that worked perfect with an amazing view. This place is located in a private neighborhood right outside of town but only 10 min to local food, gas & shopping so not to far from supplies. Only a 1hr 30 from Denver with a great drive with great views and trails near by. Thank you for a great Place

Beautiful home and views. Internet is slow for streaming and shoveling the deck shouldn't be expected at 500/ night.

This place was perfect for some President's Day relaxation. The house is well appointed and well cared for. It was also very roomy compared to some places we have stayed where the deck is too small or dinning room too cramped. If you're looking for a place to stay with great mountain views, solitude, and access to great outdoor activities, this is the place to stay.

We couldn’t have picked a better winter wonderland home for our 10th anniversary! The location was perfect, nestled in the woods on a hillside with the most amazing views. The pictures online do not give proper justice to how incredible the views and house are. Although you have everything you need and more to have all your meals there we chose to go out quite a bit and found great options within 5-15 minutes both north and south of the house. Mary was extremely responsive and we would absolutely rent from her again!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. You can tell the homeowners have put a lot of love and effort into updating the home. There were a few old home quirks, but no deal breakers. We especially loved the amazing view from the family room/porch and how the house felt seculded despite being in a neighborhood. The location was very central - about a 15 min drive to everywhere you'd want to go (e.g. ice skating, skiing, sledding, restaurants, etc). The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics/dishes/pots/utensils that you'd need for home cooked meals during covid. The homeowners were also easy to communicate with and quick to respond (even during the holidays), which we appreciated. Overall, the house felt clean - I knocked it one star because I have a crawling baby and there appeared to be a lot of dog hair (I think) in the dining room/family room rug, but I wouldn't have noticed that if it hadn't been for my little one. The one thing that would make me think twice about staying here again during the snowy months is snow removal. The homeowners ask guests to remove the snow from the deck first thing in the morning. The deck is quite large and two stories. It didn't snow much during our stay, but the 2 snow shovels were bent which made it very difficult and time consuming to do an adequate job. Additionally, the previous guests left snow around the patio furniture and railings, which I felt (rightly or wrongly) compelled to help shovel. Ideally, at the rates we paid over the holidays, I would have hoped they would hire someone to take care of snow removal or at least provide guests with new, unbent snow shovels to make the job easier.

There is a major grocery store minutes away to stock up on groceries. The house was extremely clean and well kept. The decor was very nice as well. As an added bonus we got about 7-8 inches of snow which made the property look like a winter wonderland. It was spectacular. This was a perfect place for my husband and I to relax and unwind. We only used a small portion of the house as there were just two of us, but it would be comfortable for many more as well. The deck is great and supplied a lot of seating. This property is amazing! Everything is spotless clean and as a cleaning freak myself I can asure you this house is perfect! Decoration, furniture all is perfect and very tastefully done. Rooms and bathrooms are perfect! Kitchen is very well stock with top appliances! Living area super comfy! Deck views are espectacular, quiet, refreshing for the brain...hot tub is very clean comfortable and provide the most pretty view ever while you relax! Do not hesitate to book this place you will be very happy! Already looking forward to return very soon!

We stayed here in July. The weather was perfect. Location is very quiet and peaceful, but still very close to shopping. The views are outstanding. We would stay here again.

The home is easily accessible but feels like a secluded getaway! Our family needed a safe vacation to enjoy nature and time together. This was the place! We enjoyed cooking in the full kitchen, game night around the spacious table, and relaxing on the huge deck. The hot tub was amazing under under the stars! If we are able to visit again, we will want to explore all the activities in the area. Thanks to Mary and Johnny for making sure everything was in order!
