Situated nicely between Mission Beach and Mission Bay. It is of our opinion that a VRBO/ Hotel etc.. should have a Quality bed and linen. This unit did not! Very uncomfortable. Parking was also limited.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to water and boardwalk. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is great! Walking distance to the marina and beach, the park, coffee, food. Paddleboards at the rental were super convenient we were able to just pick up and go. The rental was clean and the patio was perfect.

My daughter and I enjoyed our short stay at the cottage. I appreciated the owner's attention to detail and thorough communication. She was always timely and kind in her responses. We most enjoyed the convenience of renting bikes directly from the owners and having them waiting for us when we arrived. The kitchen has every item you could possibly need (quality too) and you just can't beat the location!! A little noisy with the shared wall and the back unit but nothing we couldn't deal with. We will be going back!!

Wonderful little house with a great location that is close to the beach, the bay, Belmont Park and other attractions. Having sand toys, beach chairs, beach umbrella, bikes and paddle boards available made the stay perfect!

I loved how we were able to rent bikes and stand up paddleboards...used the bikes a lot!

We love the location and this cute little house was perfect! It was very clean and well appointed. My 12-year-old daughter loves to boogie board so we walked to the ocean everyday. ❤️ We also rented the bikes and paddle boards from this property and had a blast around the bay! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

We stayed on Mission Beach for a long weekend celebrating our anniversary. It was perfect. Easy access to everything. The house was very clean and perfect for the two of us. Great place!!

Amazing fully stocked cute cottage…..we had a blast.

The size of the property worked wonderfully for my husband and I and our small children (5 and 2). Both futons convert to queen size beds! The location was wonderful! When I was originally looking to book on Mission Beach, I thought I wanted to be closer to the ocean side, but I really enjoyed being a 1 minute walk from the bay side. It was more peaceful and less busy. I also enjoyed being only a few minute walk from the beach, the nice playground, and Belmont. Also we loved being able to use the beach chairs and washing machine in the garage! The only con (and it’s kind of silly)… it is difficult to brush teeth and wash your face in the bathroom sink bc it doesn’t stick out far from the wall and the mirror sticks out quite a bit. Only other con to note, the walls are very thin. I could hear the people that rented the unit behind us coughing and moving around. Overall great stay! And we would stay here again :)

We really enjoyed our stay! It is walking distance from Belmont Park and the Bay. The park across the street is great for kids and the Italian restaurant across the street is very good. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. We would definitely love to stay there again!

Cute place with everything we needed. We enjoyed being so close to both the bay and the ocean and loved using the beach cruisers. This was our first time using Vrbo and it was a great experience. Karin was very nice to work with and answered all our questions.

I loved the house, it was perfect for our family of 4. Patio is great! Really can’t beat the location, perfect distance to the bay, ocean, park and shopping. Karin is a great host, very quick on her responses and everything you need is provided - grill, full kitchen, boogie boards, kayak, paddle boards, beach chairs, etc. I would definitely stay there again!

Our stay was very memorable. Friendly neighborhood, beautiful home, 1 min walk to bay, 5 - 10 min walk to beach absolutely Perfect amazing location. We loved our stay at Karin's Cottage in Mission Beach! The house is perfectly situated a block from the beach. We could wake up, enjoy coffee on the private deck, and then head out for a run on the beach. Was great to be able to use the bikes to run errands in the area as well. Hope to be able to return soon!

Nice location, cute house. Had everything you need, Starbucks was down the alley. Bed wasn’t all that comfy, we slept on the futon in the livingroom one night. TV swivels but you can’t see it in the bedroom.

Host was prompt in answering questions and very helpful. Unit was exactly as described. Located close to bay, beach and Belmont Park. Air conditioning was a plus as weather turned hot.

We enjoyed our stay despite some issues with the housekeeping but Karin had them come back and clean again. Location is great to restaurants, bay and ocean. House is nicely updated and bed was very comfortable and shower was great. Also loved the beach chairs, umbrella and bikes. Loved sitting outside with our cat watching all the people go by! I just wish San Diego would do a better job of picking up the trash in the alley as it created a lot of flies in the front yard and they also got into the house when the door is opened to go in and out.

An easy relaxing stay, with all the home comforts. The location was marvelous. There was a lot of home comforts with books and games and everything you need in the kitchen including a pod coffee machine! Very well managed property.

We had such a great stay here! Karin was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The house was lovely and in such a perfect location. Could not be happier!

My stay in the 841 portion of the duplex was great. Plenty of extras, and everything you need. Great place to hang out front and grill or just walk out your front door to the sand in a few short steps. Karin was great and answered everything I needed in a timely manner. Didn’t have any issues in the house once there. She has equipped the kitchen pretty well!! Just bring your favorite spices or seasonings. Just a few things to touch on that you may only realize once you’re there....This is a front and back unit, not side by side. You have to walk through a shared small walk way past the back unit and the neighbors home entry next door as well. The only reason for even mentioning this is the arrival and departure make for a little tight and possibly congested walk way back and forth with a few steps up and down (4) and then duck to move around a large tree limb to get onto the patio and front door. Not a big deal at all, just something to note. The garage and parking are horrible and could be very frustrating for some. The single garage is very tight with not a lot of room if you have something larger than a compact. The alley that the garage is on is GROSS!! Garbage cans galore, smelly, tons of flys and a lot of homeless and going through the cans day and night as well as loitering. Not one of them bothered me or asked for a thing. I was more concerned with the sight and smell. Fortunately, it’s not something this unit has to continually look at or smell from the front.

Everything exceeded our expectations! Super clean, perfect for just the two of us. The owners are amazing, kept in contact every step of the way and went above and beyond making us feel welcome. Not to mention, location, location, location!!! This was perfect for my first time to San Diego! I will be renting this property again VERY soon.

No surprises here! The place was clean and as expected. Owner was super helpful and responsive and friendly. Garage is a tight squeeze so we parked on the street near Belmont Park which was easy and free. Great access to beach and bay!

This cottage by the sea is the perfect place for a relaxing get away. We did not have to use our car once because the location I close to all the attractions. Had a great time with Kayak and Paddle board and we enjoyed the stay!! Karin was very helpful when ever we had any questions and we will be back for sure!!

The cottage was close to both the ocean and bay. Karin, the owner, was very easy to communicate with and her written instructions were clear and concise. The place is bright, cheery, and relaxing. The garage is a big plus as were the bicycles. We’ll be back next year. Maria & Roger

We stayed for 31 days between January and February 2020. We really liked the neighborhood and proximity to beach/bay as well as entertainment activities. The cottage was cozy and had a nice shared patio, the only down side being we didn't get much sun this time of year as it faced to the north. The kitchen was well equiped with nice pans and a decent gas range, stove and refrigerator. The only negatives we have are the two futons in the living room are not that comfortable for extended sitting and the bathroom sink and vanity, while updated and nice, are impossible to brush your teeth or splash off your face at as the medicine cabinet is low and hangs over the sink. We ended up using the kitchen sink instead. Karin was responsive and pleasant to deal with and the few things we had issues with such as the fire alarm, broken DVD or issues with the bikes she quickly accomodated us on.

NICE SPOT CLOSE TO EVERYTHING YOU WOULD WANT TO DO WE DIDNT GET A RENTAL THE LONGEST WAIT WE HAD FOR AN UBER WAS 5 MINUTES TRY THE MISISON FOR BREAKFAST AND THE GUAVE BEACH ON SUNDAY MORN BEST FOOD IN LOCAL AREA

Location is very good near the beach and Belmont Park. House is clean and fonctionnal. Great holidays !
