Perfect view if the gulf

The house was nice but the bed in the main bedroom was so hard and uncomfortable. When you lay down on it you rolled to the middle and it squeaked every time you moved. The upstairs loft was so hot it wasn’t suitable to sleep up there. The beach and experience was amazing and will definitely be coming back to Surfside.

House and location are awesome! We had a great time, the neighbors in the A frames were super friendly and great to meet. Only thing of note is the main bedroom mattress is pretty uncomfortable and the bed frame makes a lot noise while you sit, sleep on it. Also the big burner on the stove didn't work. Regardless of that though we would 100% be back!

The wife and I spent a couple of days and had a great time. It's not a real touristy place, but it you want a nice scenic ocean view to share with someone, it's perfect.

This was our 2nd trip to the Blue Mermaid because we love how it’s right on the beach. What makes it even better is that it is the pedestrian part of the beach which means no cars and fewer people. The place is nice and clean and was the perfect weekend getaway. Can’t wait to go back!

Couldn't be more simple to book the rental, receive a follow-up email with booking details and simply show up and relax. Communication was great and the house was exactly as described, literally feet from the water. Really enjoyed our short stay at the Blue Mermaid in Surfside. Only disappoinment was realizing that Rita's Daquaris-To-Go down the street was closed the 3 days we were there.

Accomodations were great. The beach is spectacular. Separated from public driving beach. Very quiet and clean. Will definitely be back!

Our family spent a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday at the Blue Mermaid. The property matched the description perfectly, and it was clean and orderly. It fronts the pedestrian beach (non-acessible for public vehicles), so is a bit more private. The beach is right out front and affords beautiful sunrise views. One nice surprise left for us was an extra token in the refrigerator (this was the day before Thanksgiving); this was very thoughtful of the owners.Take note that the doorknobs occasionally stick (a by-product of the salt air) and require a good twist to open.We very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue Mermaid and will return again.

Perfect getaway for my husband and I. The house is great and right on the pedestrian only part of the beach which was wonderful. We can’t wait to go back!

The location of the Blue Mermaid right on the beach was great and we really enjoyed the large deck overlooking the water. The living room and dining area are comfortable and nicely decorated. The main bedroom is also nicely decorated but the bed is rather uncomfortable. Two slats supporting the box spring and mattress dislodged on 3 occasions in the middle of the night. We didn't need to use the upstairs bedroom but noticed that the stairs are dangerously steep with no hand railing on the upper portion. The amenities listed a charcoal grill but there wasn't one. Overall we enjoyed our stay and were comfortable.

Disappointed in cleanliness. Did not ruin our time, as the crucial stuff like sheets and towels and kitchen were clean. We did what was lacking otherwise.

Overall we were pleased and would return. If more attention to the grounds around the property, addition of blackout curtains for the street side of the house, an umbrella for the deck and a cleaned fridge this place would be 5 ☆ excellent. The location was perfect, right on the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at the blue mermaid. It was right on the water on pedestrian beach. The house was clean, and all amenities worked great. We will definitely stay here again!! Thank you!

My family and I loved the house. My two young adult kids had their independence in the upstairs bedroom, with great views from their balcony, it was the perfect spot for my daughter to work on her college summer school work while watching and hearing the waves crashing. We even saw some dolphins jumping and playing very near the beach right in front of the house. We stayed in contact with Lauren (property manager) in case issues came up, she is very responsive. We will certainly be back as my wife and I loved the morning walks up and down the beach.

Falling asleep to the sounds of the waves was unbelievable! Cute little place.

I spent four nights with my kids and we had a great time. Location was perfect and there is a great little store for supplies two blocks away.

This A-Frame beach house is adorable, very comfortable for three ladies, and a perfect location. We loved being right on the beach. Everything that we needed was provided and Lauren was great to work with.

We had a great time and loved the easy access with kids! Beach was not busy at all! Online said WiFi and there was not or it wasn’t accessible if there was. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom get very hot in late afternoon/ evening making it difficult to go to bed. No cool circulation. Small table would be nice in the bathroom to set things on. We would be interested in staying in the future or in the adjoining house with more information!
