The spacious and private tree top apartment. On 4th floor so if you have hip and knee issues this is not for you. Walked to enjoyable restaurants and taverns in the neighborhood. Pleasant stroll to Jarvis El or Howard el if park and ride. Ross is on premise and very responsive. We'd come here again though on a lower floor.

I stayed here with my family including two small children for 6 weeks while I worked downtown. It’s about a 15 minute walk to two different trains to get downtown. Every room is large, and the open living space with all the windows is beautiful. It’s a third floor walkup, but the property manager allowed us to park our stroller in the foyer, which was super convenient. When we arrived, the Halloween decor was a hit with my kids - a nice touch. By the end of our stay Ross (property manager, who lives on the premises) had just put up Christmas decorations - very sweet. Quick response rate from both Ross and William when we had minor issues. Would recommend this place especially to families!

The stay was OK but there was an incident where the toilet over flooded while I was in the kitchen cooking in the toilet in the master bedroom which is on the opposite end of the apartment. The building is old you’ll notice that the roof the wall the paint is peeling them and complain about that but when I had the maintenance person pound on my door and point in my face and said that we did this it was a mechanical failure on the toilet. Who in their right mind is going to allow their personal belongings to get flooded with toilet water on purpose. It’s absolutely ridiculous and disgusting and I didn’t appreciate being blamed for it.

Upon walking into the building, it smelled like cat pee and was very messy. They was a mountain of children toys by the front door that were dirty and smelly, which was alarming to me since we are still in a pandemic. Upon walking into the unit, the cat pee smell got stronger. I asked Ross, who was apart of the property maintenance team along with Glen, if the other guest had just left and he said that no one has has been in the place for days; and that’s exactly what it looked and smelled like. He continues to say that he’s been
“ doing this” for over 11 years which was completely irrelevant and not a solution to the evident smell, since I walked into several windows opened to try to get rid of it . His attitude then went from being welcoming to defensive and disrespectful. I asked Ross if he could do something about the smell and he states that he has to contact the property owner first. He then returns with a bottle of febrezze Tide scent, slams it on the container and says, “This is all I can do for you”. I begin to reach out to the property owner, William, flabbergasted at the type of treatment I was receiving. He cuts me off during the conversation and tells me to RELAX! Also, tells me that I might be smelling gas from the furnace, and yet still provided to real solution to that alarming assumption. After a lot of back and forth, he instructed Ross to clean again; I assumed since everytime Ross got a call, he would leave the condo. While Ross started preparing to clean, his temper gets worst. He starts mumbling horrible mean things and curse words under his breath and slams old and empty cleaning supplies that were in horrible shape from an old bucket with dust on it (not because of him cleaning so much by the way; as he stated, NO ONE HAS BEEN IN THERE FOR DAYS). At that point I and my guest felt very uncomfortable and afraid. William then reaches out to me and orders me to leave the condo after Ross disrespected me and my guest while Ross cleans again. I told him we had nowhere to go to wait and also that we no longer felt comfortable staying there after Ross had his temper tantrum in front of us and continuously did by the way. He stated he would cancel and yet never did; he kept the reservation open and is now refusing to refund me for a stay I never accepted or checked into
There was no sky view, only 3 beds, the furniture was stained with hair on it and the windows were filthy. I had to find another place for me and my guest.

Spacious, beautiful Chicago rental
We decided to spend Thanksgiving in Chicago with our daughter who was at school at the U of I. This place fit our needs to a T. While it requires a 3 floor hike, it's definitely worth it. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. We were met by Ross who lives in the building who showed us the garage parking as well as giving us a tour of the apartment. We found everything easy to access and to use. I do understand why reviews differ on the contents of the kitchen. For regular cooking, it has what is needed but less so on Thanksgiving. We added a few things from the nearby dollar store but measuring cups and spoons would be a welcome addition. Overall, I highly recommend this stay and we would certainly stay again if our paths take us back to Chicago.

We visited Chicago as a family of six and were very comfortable at the property. The rooms were nicely decorated and welcoming. We were a short walk from a beautiful playground that we visited most days. A short drive and we were at a beach (with a playground).
We were unfortunate to have the air conditioning go out but the manager and owner were so quick to handle the problem that it didn’t effect our stay. In fact, we were amazed by the quick resolution.
Jarvis Avenue is a beautiful, quiet place to stay. We enjoyed it thoroughly!
Thank you!

This is a clean spacious property. We had 8 in our party and we had plenty of room. We used public transportation and Uber’s to get around the city. The property manager is on site and he is wonderful. I will rent this again next time I visit Chicago!!

Our overall experience was good. The apartment is lovely and is close to some good areas to eat, but not as close to Evanston as we had hoped. It was great having a parking space in a garage, especially during the cold weather. However, for those who cannot climb stairs, the apartment is on the fourth floor so it was quite a climb. The back steps from the garage are narrow. As far as the apartment itself, it was comfortable, but the towels and sheets were very warn; the beds had plastic covers under the sheets and the blankets provided were spongy and old. The kitchen was way under-equipped. We were there over Thanksgiving, but there was not adequate cookware for us all to make dinner. No measuring spoons, no large cookware or pots (even though it is supposed to sleep at least 6); the pots and pans were substandard, scratched and looked warn; some of the utensils were falling apart so we had to purchase cooking ware for use our own. We would stay here again, but the owner might first consider an overall upgrade of sheets, towels, cookware. As home owners who rent out a beautiful home in North Carolina. we believe that guests should feel they are right at home and have everything they need. We provide new towels, a good set of cookware and silverware; our blankets and sheets are fresh and warm. I hope these are helpful suggestions.

Such a cute little neighborhood with plenty of things to do nearby. We were shocked at how big the whole place was! We never wanted to leave. The owner was extremely accommodating and made everything super easy. The garage spot was a huge plus!

Great space! Easy to check in and out! Clean!
There were only 4 of us for this 3 bedroom unit. More than we needed but it made for a relaxing trip. The property manager is super nice and made the experience easy. If I stayed again, I would skip the garage. It was small. Saw empty street parking within a block or two each day. Stayed on the 3rd floor but we did not mind the stairs.

Fabulous!!
We stayed on the top level and loved the experience of Chicago. There was plenty of room and we had 8 people so it was nice having a place that could fit all of us comfortably. Location is great and not too far from all the great tourist attractions.

Excellent property!
Stayed for a week with family in two of the apartments on this property and loved it. With six of us in each apartment, there was still always plenty of room and the apartments were incredibly well equipped. William and his assistant were prompt to respond to any questions we had. Also, there's parking available (for a nominal fee) which avoided driving around to look for an on-street space and the El was only a few blocks away.

This was a perfect place for our Spring Break trip with three teenage children. The condo was spacious and well appointed. It gave everyone space to spread out in between trips to the theater and museums.

Location was excellent in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood. Grocery store, Walgreens and train within 15 minute walk.
Ross met us (five adults) when we arrived and was very welcoming and helpful. Upon our arrival he highlighted a number of items in a 'welcome' binder with local restaurants, delivery services, transportation services, wifi connection, etc. He gave us a tour of this very spacious condo to point out the many features. Many items were provided in this rental that are not usually provided: paper towel, coffee filters, hand soap, toilet paper, etc. This was a nice touch. The condo was great to come back to at the end of a day sightseeing and attending sporting events. The only recommendation we would make is adding a mirror to the smaller bedroom to do hair and makeup. We highly recommend this rental and will definitely rent in the future!

Clean, spacious, within walking distance of the L and several groceries and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
Please note that the entrance is a three story walk up narrow stairs, so elderly or frail individuals might prefer to stay on level 2 or reserve a place elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay at William's Rogers Park property very much. We do have a few suggestions that we believe would make the property even more ideal:
1. The drains in the master-bath sink could use a good cleaning. The sinks drain very slowly.
2. The door hinges for the hall bathroom are in serious need of oiling. They are very noisy, especially in the middle of the night.
3. As seniors, we would have appreciated grab bars in the bathrooms.
4. The coffee drinkers in the group would have liked more large mugs.
5. Have you ever thought about installing ceiling fans, especially in the bedrooms?
Finally, we want to express our appreciation for Ross's assistance during our stay. He was helpful but not intrusive, and very friendly.
Once again, we enjoyed our stay very much. Allan Kent

We just finished our stay and I have to say, we enjoyed it very much! We loved the apartment and the neighborhood and were able to easily walk to the drug store, the grocery store and it was a short drive to the university. The unit was beautiful and had plenty of space for our family and we cooked many of our meals here, even though there are restaurants to be enjoyed nearby. We would definitely stay again.
