Our first impressions of the property were not great, we were greeted by the front desk agent on check in and check out who made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her day. Our room was okay. The floors were very dirty and television did not work, thankfully it was only a one night stay. An okay option for a short stay in New York.

Great location for our stay in New york. Yes the rooms are small but it fine for a quick stay. There are a lot of nice places to eat, shop, and drink all close by the hotel.

The comfort of the bed and temperature of the room were great. I would have preferred a more substaintial quilt. It was quite thin. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. The staff was friendly.

We had trouble getting the proper towels and number in our bathroom. I also prefer having shampoo and body soap in the shower. There was none. We needed to change our sheets after the cleaning staff was gone for the day, and we had to change the bed ourselves. That was wrong.

There was no ice bucket for ice we had to keep asking There was no soap again had to ask and the towels were dirty had to ask for clean ones 1st floor was really noisy But other than that it was great !!! Staff was excellent and friendly!!

After fees and everything, one night ended up being $410. First comforter on the bed stained with blood and make-up. Called FD, they brought us a bed sheet after 20 min. Then went and took another 30 min to bring us another comforter covered in human hair and more stains. When informed of this, they sent someone up with a lint roller the size of a paint roller to pick up the hair......seriously. It was past midnight at this point so we slept without a comforter. In the morning we saw the bathroom better, which was gross, and the shower didn't work. A $410 room. When I asked for recourse, the offered a $40 refund (ridiculous), but I'd have to go through booking.com for more. After days booking.com offered me a $30 refund, less than the first! They finally went back up to the $40, which was the final straw. I called the gatsbys general manger and never heard back, so I contested the charge on AMEX. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM, STAY FAR FAR AWAY

The hotel is in a great location, staff is helpful and kind, and there is a parking garage near by.

The bathtub didn’t drain very well, so often the bottom of the bath would fill up while we showered and could be kind of gross. At times, we had to let the water run a little cause it was brown. There are coffee machines in each room but no water, and I didn’t trust the sink water to be drank.

The bathroom was not clean, there were lots of long black hair on wall tiles... hairdryer didn't work, there were no glasses or cups of any kind in the room, the bed lights weren't working.... And the staff refused to acknowledge it and repai it. So, yeah I was disappointed.

Bed had a flat sheet and no fitted sheet so the mattress was exposed. Comforter had a dried blood/food stain on it. Room was way too small. Felt like a hostel rather than a hotel.

Location was great. Beds comfortable. View was great.

Upkeep of the property. Needs a little TLC not much more just a little.
