The hotel was right in the center of old city, in a few minutes of walking distance from all major attractions. Our room had a view on one of the canals, not the cheapest but worth the view and the room was superb. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, one of the best we ever experienced. The hotel offers parking (for a fee) if you happen to travel by car, which is uncommon in the old city.

The hotel was undergoing renovation and extension, so some of the facilities were not marked and hard to find. A new restaurant was under construction, but a minor inconvenience given that so many restaurants are in the area.

There is little to like about this property.

BEWARE booking this hotel. Firstly it is not a 4 star hotel. By any stretch of the imagination. The rooms are plain to the point of tacky (cheap wooden doors and closets, no headboards on the bed, cheap equipment, nothing in the fridge). The lobby and common areas have seen little investment, and it’s clear the place has seen much better days. It’s an old, seedy, very average looking hotel. Secondly, they engage in hidden fee practices. They charge you 50 EUROS TO USE THE POOL for 45 minutes!? They try to defend this practice by saying they want the guests to have ‘privacy’ which is utter nonsense. Privacy can be achieved without charging for it. They also charge an astronomical 5O EUROS to park per night, when cheap parking of half this price is right around the corner. If you take the parking into account, as well as the pool use, this comes to nearly 100 EUROS. Add this to the room rate to get your ‘real’ cost per night. In summary, a cheap, 3 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star. Avoid at all costs.

Very friendly staff, service perfect, location exceptional, breakfast very good. Private parking perfect, behind the hotel . A really high class hotel . Next time in Bruges will absolutely be in the Tuiliriën !

Excellent location in center of Bruges. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Gorgeous clean room - ours had a canal view through large windows. Liked having a refrigerator.

No restaurant and extremely limited room service. At least we could have coffee and hot chocolate delivered in the morning but not even rolls or croissants. They do offer breakfast downstairs at a very high price. Didn’t like having to turn in and retrieve the room key every time we went out.

Lovely location, great rooms and very cosy. Concierge was very helpful. The bar is also very nice.

There isn’t anything not to like - but you have to be careful with the booking details. We booked the room and it didn’t have breakfast included (both the booking confirmation and email was unclear on this) and then we weren’t informed of the breakfast not being included at check in. At the end of the stay we were charged for the breakfasts, and the pre check in communication was intentionally ambiguous on this. (For e.g. we were told to enjoy our breakfast).

Service was exceptional. Definitely will be back.

Exceptional building with history.

Bar area looked lovely, however no one used the bar. This could have been made into something special.

Utterly fantastic staff who helped us find restaurants & looked after us after a tricky journey through Bruges. The location is also amazingly central.

The building is very elegant but a bit tired.

A amazing hotel much more than we expected. Staff was always on duty and very attentive Suggested restaurants and ordered a cab when necessary.

The staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for you. Very clean and we had a few of the canal which was stunning. location couldn’t get any better. I only saw 4 other guests while there the whole weekend. A very quiet and relaxing place and a beautiful building.

Excellent location! Beautiful property and loved the on-site parking! The bathroom was amazing! Incredible shower and tub!

The bed was very firm and I woke up in pain everyday. The curtains also did not close out the light efficiently, which made for a restless sleep. The price was also quite excessive for the value. (I had used rewards for this stay and did not pay full price. I would not have booked it of I had to pay full price.)

Perfect position, charming staff and an elegant (non pretentious) style.
