Location, host and cute old style room

Stairs with luggage but that’s a given over a lot of Italy

Location is good. Wifi speed was okay. Check in was easy and Josphine helped me when I got a little bit misplaced in trying find the location, google maps was not the best to me.

It was bit of a problem locking and unlocking but I have found this on other properties too. Bed was not that comfortable. Slight problem with room view but Josphine fixed that pronto maybe a with booking.com when I booked. There should be a do not disturb or clean my room note as there was no need to do my room for a 2 night stay. A heads up would help.

The perfect place to begin our Italian holiday. Josephine is a kind and thoughtful host, who went out of her way to make sure my daughter and I had a wonderful time. The location is excellent, everything is within walking distance. Our room had the most amazing views, both sea and volcano.

It was an exceptional stay. The balcony had a view on both the Etna and the sea. The patio is cool under the shade of lemon trees. And the location is perfect, just next to the Duomo and the Porta di Catania. The hostess is really nice, talks both French and English (and Italian). She was really accommodating with our late times of arrival and departure and provided recommendation.

The view from the balcony in room no. 5 is extraordinary, you see both the sea and the volcano Etna, magnificent! Also the lady at the reception was super helpful with all information about places to visit.

Josephine was a very welcoming hostess and gave us a lot of good tips .Where to eat and which trips were suitable for us. It is an old family Villa very well looked after in a great location.

Quite a few steps but then thats Taormina all over.

Located at the heart of Taormina and yet very quite and peaceful. Great view, clean room and above all - the host was very welcoming and helpful.

The crew was amazing, so kind and helpful!Location was amaizing in the heart of Taormina. Close to the walking area and also easy access to all the great restaurants. The room was well equipped and comfy, even had a real Italian mocca machine and a spacey fridge.It wasn't noisy at all, and the view from our balcony was so pretty! Definitely recommend Villa Gaia for everyone who wants to relax and feel safe and taken care of in the busy little charming town of Taormina!

Nothing to complain about

We loved the location, terrace and the staff!

Although the room and ensuite bathroom were rather small they were clean and well decorated and the small balcony had a nice view of rooftops and the sea beyond. Our host Josefina was exceptional in helping us with all manner of information and suggestions. The location is great for visiting the town - literally you just walk out the door to explore. Josefina also arranged a visit to a Lido (umbrellas. loungers, changing facilities and restaurant) for a day out at a nearby beach.

Vila Gaia is located in a pedestrian-only area so if you arrive by car as we did you have to park at the Porta Catania multi-story car park go up to the 7th floor and push/drag your suitcases for 300 metres with a lot of steps on the way. Not ideal for more elderly travellers like ourselves. to be fair it was easier going back down and we didn't use the car at all during our 3-night stay.

Hidden Gem, wonderful host. She was charming and spoke good English. Polite and helpful. This place has rustic charm and is well located just tucked away slightly from the main town. Perfect for going out in the evening for the walk 🚶‍♂️ off life. Fai la passagata! Comfortable bed and air conditioning. Can't comment on breakfast. We weren't around for that. The lie in merged with siesta lol But loved this place it felt comfortable and quaint. So convenient for enjoying Taormina Town. Plus you can easily walk down the high street and get to the cable car for access to the beach area. Great value for money. To our host. Bravo. A la prossima volta. Ciao

Great location, central but peaceful.

Excellent location, lovely views of the sea in one direction, and Etna in the other. Very friendly, and helpful proprietor.

Space is a bit tight. This room is best for a couple.

The host were very helpful in providing us guidance and information related to our visit of Taormina and Catania. They also allowed us to keep our luggage at the reception, to accomodate our last day at the villa. The view from the room was amazing.

The room was tinier than expected, based on the pictures, but was still overall comfortable and good value.

Location is in the centre but still in a quite area

The best thing about the apartment is its location, one minute from the dome and the recommendable cafe "billy and billy" where we had breakfast every day. The host is very nice and speaks multiple languages including German. The view from the apartment was nice and the small balcony was cozy.

Everything was clean and nice but the bathroom is old and not very practical. The toilet is very close to the ground, the shower difficult to regulate and if you are taller than 1,80m you will hit your head on the bathroom door.

It was central, close to the vibe of the place. Nice view on Etna, and the see.

The location of the property is amazing, in the centre of Taormina close to all shops and restaurants, set in a quite area with only a few steps from the Corso. The hotel does not provide breakfast but that was a positive thing for us as we wanted to try the different caffeterias/bars. The rooms are with bathrooms and AC units.

The bathrooms are abit small.

Location is right in the center. Nice small room with nice balcony, really all you need. Host was also very kind.
