I was welcomed like a favourite aunty! Aggie greeted me by finding me a seat and getting me a coffee to warm me up on the coldest night of the year. I found The Vernon quite by accident, as the place I was staying at on the following night in Stratford was fully booked, but I am certainly planning to go back again. Great service, lovely food, a huge breakfast and so welcoming. Better facilities than some of the large chain hotels at half the price!

Everything was great but if you want me to be uber picky the shower could do with bleach on the tiles and around the trim. Everything was clean but it makes you feel it wasn't. Really enjoyed the stay

Food including breakfast was nice. The staff were very nice, friendly and efficient.

We didn't realise that all the rooms overlooked the road . Not a busy road but the traffic passing when it did was disturbing. yes we opened a window a little for ventilation but neither of us can sleep with no ventilation. Also the fan from the kitchen below was excessive especially when retiring and the kitchen is still open.

Lovely, modern, cosy and brightly decorated room with a good ensuite bathroom complete with waterfall shower. Excellent freshly cooked hot breakfast. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was absolutely superb! Really interesting menu with both gourmet and gastropub options, highly recommended.

The bathroom plumbing was a little erratic - the water pressure was low at times and the toilet cistern took a while to refill. In the spirit of eco-awareness, I would have preferred soap and shampoo/shower gel dispensers, rather than individual bottles, but it's only a minor quibble.

the property was just where we wanted to be, but unfortunately with road closures, we had to go a devious way to get there, and similarly to get out from there. Breakfast was excellent and the lady doing it does the cleaning too.

our room no 2 was tiny. admittedly we booked at last minute. the bathroom was luxurious with a lovely shower. the kitchen fan was put on at 7am so we were woken with its noise - just like an aircraft taking off from the runway. we left before 9am and had to find our way to the M5 going South. we did this joint the motorway at a later junction.

Good location for the purpose of our visit. Very friendly staff, especially the girl who checked us in. Breakfast was very nice.

Really nice and quaint venue. Our room was a tad small but the bed was very comfy. Only niggle was the green fire escape light above the door which kept my partner awake.

The very loud humming/vibration in my bedroom and corridor. I think from the kitchen below. It switched off at 21.45 and came back on again at 7.30am.

We had a friendly welcome, room was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was tasty and served by friendly staff We only stopped over in the way to Wales however it is well positioned to enjoy the local area

It was clean and comfortable with lots of outdoor seating. Indoor dining areas were very nice, as was the food. The staff were really friendly.

It was on a junction but actually, once rush hour was over, the road was, as promised, very quiet and we had a good night’s sleep.

Both the hotel and restaurant were excellent. The food was really good. Portion sizes were very good so if you’ve a large appetite we would recommend eating here. Our room was beautiful, the hotel has been beautifully renovated with lovely decor both in the restaurant and bedrooms. We particularly noticed how efficient all the staff were, they work really hard to make your stay enjoyable.

Room5 . Air Conditioning unit on wall outside on all night, noise !! Had to leave bedroom window open as it was so hot in the bedroom and couldn’t sleep.

Nice room. Breakfast was excellent but only one young lad running around serving, cooking and putting stuff out.

We paid for a superior room, which was lovely but there wasn't a shower only a bath. It is a pub, so we arrived early Sunday evening and were hoping to meet up with family for a meal and a drink but they weren't serving food and closed at 7pm!! So we ended up driving around the area trying to find somewhere to eat, On Fathers Day! So that was very disappointing.
