Hospitality

The hosts were kind and welcoming and the house is charming and well built. There is a nice common space where people can chat and hangout. Our room was nice and spacious and even had a hammock in it. The house is located right beside the Main Street where the restaurants are, so it’s quiet but close to everything. It is great value for money and we had a great time there :)

Unfortunately there were sooo many mosquitos in our room. There is a mosquito net provided, but these were SUPER mosquitos that could get through the net somehow, haha. If you’re someone who doesn’t usually have a problem with mosquitos you should be fine, but if you’re like me and mosquitos love you, be careful!

Super clean and very nice

It’s a wonderful place to relax - common areas are perfect with an open layout, our room was spacious and everything is super clean! Also, the laundry service is perfect (15R for about 5kg)! We loved the fact that a shelf in the fridge and one box in the kitchen is assigned to each room so you can organise your stuff. The volunteers working there were really nice too:)

There is nothing surf about this surf house. For an eco surf house we expected it to offer at least separating bins for trash and renting surfboards with basic information about the surf spots in the area. Unfortunately, none of the owners or locals were present during our stay so we felt disconnected from the local community. Plus, we were really counting on some tips on how to get to different beaches further away. Consequently, other guests were disregarding the rules (like silence at 10 pm or not wearing shoes inside) and nobody was there to implement them. It was a shame because otherwise we can imagine this place to be the perfect value for money!
