Great and relaxing place just next to the archeological site. Parking in premises (great plus)
Extremely nice staff , in touch with us even before getting there with instructions and suggestions of places to visit, and eat
Sebiana was incredible sweet and helpful, the breakfast was very nice and Stefanía also great !
Room and bathroom a little too small, although very cute and very comfortable mattress.

Room slightly small

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, it felt very family-run and unique, and it was super peaceful. Great location for seeing the ruins, also great if you have a car and want to take day trips in the area. Not bad for getting to Ortigia but consider that it is a walk. The room was on the smaller side, but comfortable.

The property centres on a beautiful house right beside the archaeological park. The grounds are gorgeous. Also outstanding were the two hosts. Last but not least the breakfast was exceptional
The rooms are rather dull.

A wonderful relaxing garden - the fact that the breakfast was personalised, not a buffet- wonderful hosts who took time to help us organise our 3 day stay - will certainly try to return.
Everything was fantastic

the noise of the traffic was very loud at times

Breakfast was truly wonderful. A great selection of items from a full menu. The bread with extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) was delicious. And, although not included on the standard menu, the staff prepared scrambled eggs - done to perfection.
The property is located inside the archeological park and within the garden area are some catacombs and a sarcophagus, breakfast can be served there, if preferred! The property is protected by gates so if arriving by car, it's best to notify the staff via WhatsApp a few minutes beforehand so they can open up.
All the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, most welcoming, and made us feel at home.
We were staying in a Queen suite which is split over two floors - linked via a narrow spiral staircase. The bathroom was at the lower level. And while this is quirky, it may not be the most practical for anyone having any mobility concerns. Best to notify the staff of any such issues.
As the property is located on a major road it can get noisy even though the main windows are double-glazed. Maybe unsuitable for someone who is a light sleeper, likewise, the curtains are a bit thin and let in light.
So some minor niggles but an overall excellent place to spend a wonderful break. Just wish that we could have had a few days longer! Maybe next time...

We chose this so we could both visit Siracusa (especially the Neapolis Archeological, park) and Ortigia and also be within easy reach of Noto, Ragusa and Modica. We reserved the private parking, and also enjoyed their daily breakfast which was abundant with many choices. The room was quiet and comfortable. The ancient ruins on site impressive. The owners were friendly, attentive, helpful, and gracious. We can’t say enough about every aspect of our 4 day stay!
We enjoyed everything about the property.

Dario and Sebiana were so friendly and kind - always welcoming and happy to help. They run a beautiful hotel in a great location - if only we could have stayed longer. Would whole-heartedly recommend.
Nothing.

The property was an enclosed private estate, bordering an archeological site. Separate entrances for the various grades of accommodations.
Entry and exit was a minor challenge due to the grade of the street, narrow gate and local traffic, but worthwhile to get secure free parking!

The amazing bath!
The room was clean and tidy and had a great ambience to it.
The staff were attentive and very helpful with recommendations of places to visits.
The breakfast was also super yummy!
Would highly recommend this property.

Breakfast excellent with both a good range and the quality of items. My room was sizeable, well appointed and extremely clean and tidy as was the bathroom. The location, out of town from Ortigia, worked well for us and the availability of parking is very helpful. By the way, the olive oil is well worth buying: it is delicious.
Erm, nothing occurs.

Beautiful setting, great location, gracious hostess, good breakfast. Ideal spot for exploring Siracusa.

Beautiful property with a lovely courtyard in the back, with free on-site parking. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and appointed with many antiques, and it’s in a great location that is just steps away from the main archeological attractions in Siracusa proper (Neapolis park, Museum Paolo Orsi, San Giovanni catacombs). Also, Sebiana is the nicest and most helpful host we’ve met on our trip to Sicily (and that’s saying a lot, as all of our hosts in Sicily have been amazing).
This isn’t a complaint, but simply advice to you if you are arriving by car: the property has on-site parking but the lot is gated, and so the host will need to open the gate for you. However, the gate opens to a two-way street so there is no place to park in front of the gate while waiting, so I would suggest that once you are in Siracuse and not too far away from the property, stop for a moment and call the hotel to tell them precisely when you’ll arrive so that they can open the gate upon your arrival.

Breakfast was delicious and a great value. Hosts were absolutely wonderful, helping orient us to the city and the sights. Will come back soon.

We enjoyed just one night at this bed & breakfast which is located adjacent to the important archaeological park (which was our primary destination in Syracuse). We would have liked another day to further explore Ortigia Island, so maybe that is left for next time! The staff is very nice and helpful and provided plenty of information on the area. They included a list of recommended restaurants and our meal at one of those was one of the best during our whole time in Sicily. In addition to being adjacent to the archeological park, the facility even includes some of the ancient tombs. The breakfast was ample and delicious (choose from a menu) and served on the beautiful patio.

The room is elegantly designed and furnished, spacious and clean. The property looks like in the Archaeological Park and I could see big stones from the window. The property is beautifully maintained and landscaped. Host, Dario, is super friendly, quick responsive and gives all information on the town.

The place is located right by the archaeological site and actually has some ancient tombs in the premises itself, so you are right in the heart of the history of Siracusa. The breakfast was really nice every day, they gave us lots of options including homemade cake. The attention and service from everyone in Dimora Archimedia was outstanding and all our needs were met to. We really have no bad comments about the place and 100% recommend this to anyone visiting Siracusa.

- Dario was an amazing host. He is very generous with local recommendations and extremely accommodating.
- The WhatsApp group in which the host makes him and his staff permanently available was a really nice touch. We asked for a recommendation for apéritivo for sunset with our location and got a great recommendation within minutes!
- The property is very quiet and clean. The room was absolutely perfect (cleanliness, comfort) and staff was super nice.
- A little remote from the restaurant scene and from Ortigia.

We had an exceptional two night stay in Dimora Archimedea! Dario was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home, providing some great tips on where to eat and what to see during our time in Syracuse. This was one of our favourite stays whilst travelling around Sicily!
